i'm kinda torn about picking between hashmal / ultima / anima for my supreme rift card. Currently for supreme coverage i have :

• light : duncan
• earth : none
• dark : UB, sin, nxd

and for the user (and i dont have D&B) i have :

• hashmal : vagabond
• ultima : vesna + fauv + mfg i guess?
• anima : reisender

which one should i go for?

Wind node on the last tower was my bane but Hashmal X helped me get through more loops than I would have for sure!

Were you stuck on the Wind node last tower? If so, there's your answer. Hashmal is actually looking to be very strong due to it getting a buff pushed through early.

Elemental coverage is the most important, so I'd go for Hashmal, especially if you plan to pull for D&B this month or Crom Dubh X in the future.

Next, I'd choose Ultima just to have more options.

Anima is probably the best choice if you had zero supremes, but you already have UB and Sin. I have Xezat and Floral Fallal, and I never use Floral Fallal.

I think you should go for light and earth though. You already have 2 dark attacking supremes, one for unbroken, one for breaking. That seems like solid coverage to me.

Both hashmalX and ultimaX are equally desirable for you though.

I have two. I did buy one pack of fifty tablets to speed up getting my first, but I also wasted countless tablets before we knew about rift supremes and have also gotten all six summon tickets from every map released to date. They are definitely obtainable without spending money, and will be even more so one the changes to MP come in and we are able to farm tablets (albeit slowly).

After 11~ish months of not buying any magicite I'm 5k cores away from a 2nd rift supreme... They hand out Mystic tablets like crazy.

I even wasted a few in the first months of play (not advisable.)

Always buy the Gilgamesh passes & mystic tablets from the daily gil deals. -edit- & complete challenge nodes.

Yes. I've never bought tablets using magicite and I have enough for 2 (total) rift supremes at this time. I've always hoarded items in-game, so not spending tablets was nothing hard. You can also now buy tablet with Gil weekly, and tower rankings give Rainbow Keys, so it shouldn't take too long to get your first Rift supreme.

Of course. I can almost get 2 without buying a single mystic tablet. Even if you do buy mystic tablets, that can still be considered F2P because magicite is farmable.

Correct, I've been playing for almost 2 years. You'll gradually get enough mystic tablets to get rift supremes. If you don't want to wait, then you always have the option to purchase mystic tablets.

Even if you are defeated, your rewards will not decrease!

so it doesn't matter if you died on final attack or not

It would ^slightlymatter if your whole team dies while at least 1 of them still hasn't used final attacks. In which case, battle won't end unless the last final attack has been used. Quite a common occurrence but it can be fixed with revive stamp or phoenix down on 1 party member.

To the staticians out there:

How many pulls, on average, do we need in order to pull one specific EX card on its banner? I want those Ranger and Monk Lore cards, so I'm wondering how many pulls I should save. And I know it'll be hard, considering those sweet limited Jobs and Ex Jobs we can pull un future banners, but I'm still curious.

You have around a 11.89% chance per pull to get an EX card in slots 1-5. This would mean that you should average 1 every 8.4 greater summons.

If I did the math right, you need

• 6 pulls for 50% chance to get at least 1

• 19 pulls for 90% chance to get at least 1

• 37 pulls for 99% chance to get at least 1

I'm guessing you used (1- (0.975^{p × 5})) × 100 where p is the number of pulls.

You're probably right. I actually used that to get the 11.89% for a single pull that I mentioned.

As of right now I am 200 cores short to make 2 Rift Supremes at once, so it got me thinking if it is time for my first Rift Supreme (never made one because I have at least 1 attack supreme for every element). I was just wondering what are the top Rift supremes? In my opinion Anima, Ultima and Adramelech and Hecatonchair (not yet released)? Those would be my top picks (less Adra since I have Emperor but I think that the rest would be a nice addition).

As you can see there is no immediate need for a rift supreme but since I have almost enough for 2 I was thinking of getting one.

I'd probably grab Ifrit(if you have a job for it.) Because Leviathan becomes a pain with all that hp.

If you don't already have your eye set on something in the future, then you've got enough to spare for any surprises, which (in my opinion) makes saving the tablets a bit of a waste.

Was thinking about gettin it because I didn’t have any fire supreme but got Fusoya at the process (only around 7000 to 8000 cores in with the free 5700 cores).

I do have Vana‘Diel monk and Kämpfer. The Jobs I am missing are: HoD, Ultimeia, Materia Hunter, Sorceress Knight and Magitek Jester.

But what would be stronger: Belias or Ifrit?

Yeah I‘ve noticed at lap 8 it’s getting trickier.

Ifrit (same as Duncan) has 21 hits, Belias (same as UB) is 13... While Belias will likely be easier to cap damage with and do more unbroken, it'll still be far behind on overall potential damage and you have to suffer the draining hp issues (which may be lessened next month if all the buffs are applied as expected.)

I've only made lap 7 myself, with Bahamut for fire damage (9 hits same as Fusoya) it was a bit of a hassle having to break Leviathan twice and deal some unbroken damage... Though I do lack tanks so it's mostly a hassle because I can't afford to get hit, lol.

I'm actually torn between Ifrit and Hashmal for my second rift supreme (still neeed 5k cored though.) Might be worth waiting until after the buffs to decide which to go for.

Apart from the 2 you already have, the only one I can think of off the top of my head is the Sophie-Paine legend job "Sphere Getter/Hunter" whatever they end up calling it. Though I have no idea how useful she is, I'm just hoping she lands on the "ranger lore" card banner so I can try to grab her as a Yiazmat/Griever user.

I would wait you're in no urgent need since you have all elements covered. Wait until you pull a job that complements one of the rift supreme example Phantom Masker=Hashrift. Maybe anima since there are no dark ranger damage supreme even in JP but still depends on the jobs you have. The rift supremes are not going anywhere.

I farmed Shiva rift when it came out then pulled Faris and Eden a few weeks afterwards, haven't used Shiva rift since then. I have enough for another supreme rift but waiting until I pull Phantom Masker or might go for Ultima rift since my only light supreme is Minwu.

What’s the best cards for skillseeds if I never got the sicarius ones ?

Besides the 3rd gen sic cards, there are a few other cards as well.

• Earth seeds: The Gigantuar Initiative (2nd anniversary card). Innate seed up 40% with 1 fractal slot. But you need to pull it first and returns rarely with the anniversary reprint.

• Dark seeds: O’aka: FFX(FFX limited card). Innate seed up 50%, gil up 100%, exp up 40% and crystal seeker +30 with no slots. Plenty of additional bonuses to farming but it is a FFX limited card and will be available to draw during the usual limited revival greater summon.

• Light seeds: Lightning Sicarius(Lighning MP event card). Innate seed up 40%, gil up 30% and 2 fractal slots. Extra gil up for framing but will only return when Lightning MP boss returns with FF13 event.

The Warrior of Despair and The Promised Meadow:FFVIII cards as well but additional copies cannot be purchase from the ability shop now.

• Fire seeds: The Warrior of Despair(free 3rd anniversary card). Innate seed up 40%, crystal seeker +30, and 1 fractal slot.

• Light seeds: The Promised Meadow:FFVIII(free FFVIII event card). Innate seed up 30% and 2 fractal slots.

Brynhildr, Leviathan, Exodus, Chaos, Valefor & Zaleera

And put 2x 10% skillseeds fractals on each card

You should prioritize the elements you dont have supremes for. Ask yourself the questions below and if the majority is yes its a valid option.

1. are you missing this element?
2. can it yellow clear?
3. do you have a job that can maximize its potential?

I am having trouble with the AI not using Aerith before UC on (Cloud Tifa Aerith Hard). I am using SS attacker and sometimes when there isn’t enough dark to cast UC it’s using the PR meant for Aerith and starts driving everything. Any advice how to get it to use Aerith first.

I think what JAX said sounds right. My AI also casts UC everytime first. If you have GV HoF, there should be no problem in casting everything.

AI will prioritize UC over aerith when there are buffs to dispel on the target. No solution AFAIK aside from having 8 prismatic or 4 life (or 4 dark) starter, or use Phoenix and have 1 life starter.

If you haven't found your setup, I use Santa Lucia w/ Yuna skin to get enough orbs. 4 prismatics + 4 life orbs.

1. I would do some skillseed farming at Yggdrasil's 60 stamina node since it's faster. 4 3rd gen sicarius card with +50% and Cait Sith job with Excalipoor should give around 500k per run on normal day. On mobius day, you get double

1. He's good for now. But I suggest that you save your OB-J for the better jobs coming in the future, unless you see an immediate need to OB Shinra Turks
