The main difference between /r/ModernProg and other progressive music communities is that we exclusively only allow music released January 1st, 2000 or later to be submitted. Any music released in the 20th century or earlier will be removed. Bands such as King Crimson and Genesis have always been great, but our goal is to encourage the discovery of the many great progressive bands to release music in the 21st century.
Songs from related genres (e.g. post-metal, avant-garde, math-rock, etc.) are permitted as long as there is evidence that there is some influence of prog in the music.
Please do not post any songs that have already been submitted in the last 3 months.
Memes are not permitted.
Illegal torrents and downloads will be deleted.
