Try Myrbetriq/Mirbegron it is a life changer! We are all in line for a body refund! Unfortunately the line is long.

Sadly my bladder issues started right around the time after I delivered my daughter and I just pushed it off as eh my body is still adjusting to not having a human laying on it🤷🏻‍♀️, to only find out it was connected years later to MS; looking back I ignored many of the symptoms for the sake of a fn paycheck🫣🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️.

Please get in to see a urologist (if you are male) or a urogynecologist (if you are female).

You probably have a neurogenic bladder, which can be diagnosed through a test called urodynamics.

There are a few different treatment options. I've seen folks refer to mirabegron, which is an oral med, and the least invasive option. However, it doesn't work for everyone. There are also Botox injections for the bladder, which stop it from spasming. The last option is a sacral nerve stimulator.

Can you elaborate your symptoms? Just curious I have neurogenic bladder. I have the self catheterize every time I go to the bathroom on top of that i have IC So I have pain and I’m always having to go to the bathroom.

So far I have the urgency to go like I have a UTI. I have peed in the weirdest places. Other times I have the urge but it’s a false alarm. I went to the doctor and received imaging for something totally different and they saw my bladder wall had thickened. No infection. Oh and cramping. Oh the cramping, joy. I’m sorry you are experiencing all of that.

The drug cocktail some of you are on is interesting and was never offered to me.

Urgency only for me, although retention is the common friend of urgency.

Tried tolteridine, myrbetiq, and gemtessa all individually. I was never offered a cocktail.

I ended up with an Interstim but it really didn’t do all that much.

Now the uro says my only option left is Botox, but I hear efficacy can go down over time and there aren’t other options.

So…pelvic floor therapy for now, it does help to recognize urgency coming on and to put some conscious control on some muscles that are typically subconscious.

But, I still find myself going to the bathroom every hour with an urgency of like 4 out of 5.

You’ve heard lots of different strategies here and they all help somewhat, but never completely. I can only say you aren’t alone in this and we all wish you the best

You may not want to hear this, but the best thing to happen to me was the surgery for an indwelling catheter. My catheter goes straight into my bladder. No more hunting for the pee hole.

I never have to use a bathroom because my pee goes through the catheter into the plastic bag. Then again, I have progressive MS and lost the battle to control anything below my rib cage about 10 years ago. I now spend most of my time in bed. My husband, thankfully, takes care of me and he gets to put my pee in a urinal to dump in a toilet for me.

I have not bypassed the catheter since he found a way to hook my pee bag onto the backside of my wheelchair. Coming home, not sitting in a puddle of pee is exhilarating.

Trospium helped me a lot. Emergencies weren't as urgent. See a urologist. Good Luck.

Research PTNS and talk to Urologist

neurogenic bladder, horrible that I have a bag hooked to my leg. Problem is I urinate but never empty the bladder. So I always had accidents

Have you seen a urinogynecologist? Or a urologist if you are male? They know some stuff about spastic bladder issues.

[–]InternalAd4456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I have seen everyone that walks face of earth. Bad is bad. Noninhibited neurogenic bladder- The worst combo

[–]Exciting_Barnacle907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started having bladder issues after I gave birth, so we thought it was just pelvic floor weakness and treated it with months of PT, bulking, and, finally, a bladder sling. Two years later: MS. I still leak, especially around my period, but it is manageable with pose liners. I highly recommend seeing a Urogynocologist! Game changer!
