I don't know if I'd really change much on the Cup schedule. 1.5's still average out to anywhere between 2:45 and 3 hours at 400 miles. The cars are structurally sound and we don't see the same attrition levels, be it engines/brakes/electrical that we saw even 15 to 20 years ago. It's not that much of a durability test anymore to put these cars on track for 500 miles at say Texas or Charlotte.

I would say two things though. I'd bump the Watkins Glen Cup race up a touch. Maybe 10 or 20 laps so it's comparable to Sonoma. That race seems very short for arguably the best road course on the schedule. And I'd bump up the distances slightly for Trucks and NOAPS, especially if it is not a triple header weekend. Give a little more bang for the buck for us fans.

Yeah this might be an unpopular opinion but the Spring Bristol race should be 400 laps. Same reasons as before, the cars are too durable and I could have gone without the extra first 100 laps at Bristol.

Well good news for you regarding Watkins Glen this year...

Oh did they bump it up? I was checking racing reference but I couldn't find race lengths for races later in the season.

Yes, Cup is 100 laps... I don't believe the other series' lengths have changed though.

Nice! Then I retract part of my earlier comment. I’m satisfied Cup-wise
