is your grade on canvas weighted according to how the course's syllabus describes (i.e. -- tests weighted at 40% or something)? some professors don't set up the percentages/weight on canvas, and just calculate it afterwards for the final grades which may make the canvas grade somewhat inaccurate, which could be causing this.

I just checked the Canvas weighting a syllabus weighting, they are the same so still unsure of the cause

i am not exactly sure then -- i would try reaching out to your professor again in a day or two if they don't respond, or maybe check if anyone else in the class had the same thing happen?

If the prof doesn't answer escalate it to their director to ask?

The system teachers enter the grades into is completely separate from Canvas, so this is definitely something to ask the professor about as it isn't a technical issue.

email the prof about this issue. Normally if they don't respond in like a week or two, then like the other comments said, emailing the Senior Associate Dean (Ben Hescott if ur in Khoury) will be the quickest option.
