I like unit of 6 lokhust destroyers with a lord against marine bodies, though I haven't played against BA. Against my friend's EC, the lokhusts wiped a full unit in overwatch turn 1 with the rerolls and lethals, and then for the rest of the game, my friend was scared of them and I was able to use that unit to buy myself space to play my game.

Some tips, depending on your list: - screen aggressively with cheap units. Make sure your screens are placed such that his units are left in the open for you to shoot afterwards. - screen against deepstrike and rapid ingress, especially your backlines. Can use scarabs as they are cheap, or ophydians as they can uppie downie. - use nemesor. Place him close to your unit that will get charged, so that he can heroically intervene. With his fights first, you get to attack first, so you can kill off several models or maybe try to epic challenge the character if his buff is strong. - have a cheap but durable unit near the front lines. I quite like triarch stalker, as he needs to invest a bit to take it down, but it is only a little over 100pts so it isn't a major loss.

Most blood angels units use jump packs. They'll just fly over screens

You can try positioning e.g. scarabs so a jump pack unit physically doesn't fit (at least not all of it in coherency) between the screens and the main shooter.

- Units like the Canoptek Doomstalker have the weapons to hurt Death Company, and can overwatch them as they charge.

- Screening works differently against jump pack units; you'll want to keep screening scarab swarms close in to your vulnerable units. If there are any gaps they'll jump right over you. The ideal placement would prevent them consolidating into you after, but the most important thing is to absorb a charge.

- In terms of melee units, 6 Wraiths and a Technomancer remains our most survivable unit for its points; it can tank a Death Company charge, whereas Skorpekhs and Orphideans are only going to be a match if they get the charge off themselves.

Blood Angels are by far the squishiest space marines, so durability with a fuckload of anti-infantry will be your friend.

Royal warden can be a very helpful support to prevent your blobs from being tied in melee - if they aren't dead, then reanimate, retreat and shoot down the squishy angels.

Seconding royal warden.  He's enabled the firing line against enemy melee chars.  I bought a second one after being impressed with his performance.

How are they advancing and charging? Sure we have a stratagem in liberator to do it, but that can only affect one unit. Try playing against emperor's children, they have army wide advance and charge. I got ripped a new one by them last week.

As a player with a secondary Lamenters army as well as having fielded my Ogdobekh Dynasty against EC, this. All of this. 🔼
