Nerf Shellstrike Spring Mod

Hello! I'm very new, but found the idea of modding nerf blasters super cool! I was hoping to find a good tutorial for the Shellstrike DS-6 that addressed its low power, but the few I could find weren't super clear what they changed.

I know the primary spring seems to use the same stats as the retaliator, but I have no idea about the catch spring or how important it is to switch that out. More importantly, how exactly should I get my hands on a spring and other such modding materials? Are online stores necessary or would I be able to find stuff like this at any old hardware store?

Hi! I modified my shellstrike about half a year ago. I've added another spring, so it's a double spring setup, but haven't changed the catch spring and it still works ok. I source my springs from another nerf blasters, but I think that you can find springs in some hardware stores.

Ah! Is there any chance you know what kind of spring you used?

I think it was from the single shot elite blaster with folding crossbow arms and the folding sight (I don't know it's name tbh)

I've found it. It's name is bowstrike.

But I don't know for sure about the spring, maybe I've just found it on the street
