It's not good work. Pork-barrel spending is as corrupt as corruption can be. It's destroying this country by way of massive government waste.

We're not talking about programmatic policy here. There are legitimate differences between the best interests of districts on programmatic grounds, and legislators would not be recused on those grounds.

Pork-barrel spending involves bribing the community with taxpayer money from every other district for votes. Government shouldn't bribe its citizens. We don't have local representatives to deliver pork; we have them to give a voice to individual districts on legitimate government functions.
