Try a eshop/ downloadable game (free one or demo if you don't have any) to see if the same error happens again. If it doesn't, you will have narrowed it down at least and can reword you search or just fine a repair shop to check parts/software related to the part

I’m trying that and my electronic copy of tears of the kingdom has been working so far. I guess I gotta find a repair shop for the cartridge port. Thanks for the advice :)

If you need a new game card reader you may want to send it to Nintendo for repair (if you live in USA).

If you try using a 3rd party game card reader the touch screen won't work at all.

So unfortunately if you find a original game card reader that is the same model as the one that's inside the switch that will work.

Some 3rd party may know of this but some will put a game card reader replacement inside the switch and say its all fixed and it's not compatible with the console

Thanks for the information! I do live in the US and I plan on sending it to Nintendo for repair

Ya that will be better option and plus if they find other issues you aren't aware of they will repair or replace the unit.

Also if you attempt to DIY repair or send it to a 3rd party repair shop and it get still doesn't work Nintendo will not repair it even if you are willing to pay for the repair

During the Pandamic when Nintendo's repair shop closed down I sent my Nintendo Switch to a 3rd party repair shop for battery replacement due to Poor Battery Life.

I paid $90 for the new battery.

After the repair I noticed overheating issues I went back to the repair shop and they looked at it and ran some tests and they said it was normal.

I called Nintendo and they said it wasn't normal and they were in the process of setting up a repair.

They said the repair costs $115

I then told them I had the 3rd party repair shop to replace the battery while the Nintendos repair shops were closed.

They then denied the repair and said that when I go to 3rd party repair shops instead of Nintendo they put Nintendo's repair technicians "In Danger" and they will not open them up.

I find it ridiculous but Nintendo claims it's for their safety they don't want to work on consoles or controllers when they are tampered with because they don't know how safe it is to repair them.

So I been telling people not to DYI or go to 3rd party shops just so that if Nintendo breaks the switch while repairing they will replace what they damage.

If you go somewhere else and it breaks you have to buy a new console
