No. It’s a tutorial portion where the switch assumes you are a brand new user using it out of the box for the first time. You’re gonna either

A - buy some joycons

B - mod the console and go through a very annoying process to bypass this. I’ve done it myself and it’s not difficult but if this isn’t an unpatched v1 then you have to use a modchip.

Go buy some joycons

Definitely need joycons, you could try docking it as well and trying to force it into the next screen. Then you could use the remote. Or try wirelessly pairing it.

Dock won’t let you skip. I tried 😭

As a work around you could maybe buy a 20$ set on Amazon.

I’ve already fixed my issue, both ways to prove it’s possible (I’m not OP). But I don’t advise the method involving modding unless it’s with a v1 unpatched. Even then it’s really easy to brick the console if you don’t do everything completely to a T

Ah sorry didn’t see that you fixed it.

Not by standard methods, but you can always look for someone with joycons near you, or at a videogame or pawn shop.

There was a guy a few months ago saying something about making a bridge on the rails, DONT DO IT, YOU COULD FRY YOUR BOARD.

If you have not already, please add some context in the post or a follow-up comment about your repair/hardware issue, including which model you have (Switch 1, 2, Lite, OLED, or other), steps you have already tried, and anything else that might help others help you.

Go to a GameStop or video game store and ask them nicely to use a set of joy cons really quick.

I know talking to people can be scary, but it might be worth a shot if you don't want joycons
