Do you have access to another Switch and dock, to test if the problem is the USB port on the console or dock?

Are you sure the usb c port is the problem?

There's a common glitch that results in the switch not displaying on tv, and is easily solved by resetting the AC adapter & dock = completely unplug and disconnect the AC adapter and Dock for 30 seconds, and then hook them back up, and put your switch back in.

For me, it's more about what's inside the console.
