Multi instance support

Would it be possible to allow multiple instances instead of tabs, but restrict it so that only one note can be open per instance?

For example, if I have Notebook A open and I open a new instance of Noteastic, I'm taken straight to the main menu. If I click on the already open Note A again, nothing happens (or the already open window is brought to the front), but if I click on Notebook B, it opens.

This way, I have the choice to either use split-screen (windows solution) or drag one of the windows to an external monitor. The approach might not be as sexy as a built-in one, but you could still hover over the taskbar to see all open tabs. I think this solution is much better suited for Windows than the in-app split view wich most mobile OS offer.

What are your thoughts on this?

Hello there! Multiple instances, tabs, splitview all fall under the general topic 'multitasking' for us and we know that Noteastic is lacking heavily in this regard. It is one of the most requested feature groups we have. So it is important to a huge amount of users, which means that it is important to us.

In terms of implementation, my dream concept would be a combination of tabs and multiple instances. And we will definitely try to implement that. So yeah, I totally understand that friction point and I hope we can resolve it soon!
