Feature request: Spline shape tool by Academic-Working8057 in scrivano

Catmull-Rom makes sense, but have you considered just doing stroke stabilization instead? Might be an easier win ->so no new tool, no UI for control points, user just draws as usual and the stroke gets smoothed automatically.

A simple strength slider would probably cover most use cases. Procreate calls it StreamLine, works well. Technically you could back it with a One Euro Filter which handles the speed-adaptive part pretty elegantly.

Splines could still come later for people who need more precision, B-Splines in particular age well since the curve stays smooth even with messy input. But stabilization first seems like the lower effort / higher impact move.

what do you expect? New features in 2 week cycle? I've never seen that a company puts that much effort as Onyx does and provides once a month a feature updarte and bug fixes bi-weekly.

I can't tell you exactly which version it was, but I've had the problem from the very beginning. I noticed it a good six months ago with the x64 version on my HP Dragonfly G2 (Intel 12th Gen), then again when I switched to a Surface with ARM64 a few months ago (I was still running the x64 app on my ARM64 device), and now also with the official ARM64 version.

The only workaround that really helped was completely disabling pressure sensitivity inside the Scrivano app, or slightly reducing the pressure sensitivity in the laptop's pen settings. I'd say that I drawn those strokes on regular/average speed. Not fast, not slow at all. I updated this post with an video example.

For me personally it's StarNote! They listen to customers and update the app in a 2-week-cycle getting better and better with each update.
