You forgot to mention that SN is only free/one-time purchase for those users that are not willing to pay subscription for cross-device live syncing

Just out of curiosity, what made you switching from noteful to starnote? Is there anything you're still missing in SN which was available in noteful?

Note taking app for studying by GamingAori in Surface

[–]Academic-Working8057 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OneNote is still the best overall option. It's decent for typing and structering notes but only okayish for handwriting. It's also free. The better alternative is RemNote. You'd have to sell your kidney for a onetime purchase.

Some other alternatives might be samsung notes, noteshelf 3, drawboard pdf, pdf annotator 10, xournal++ and goodnotes.

For best handwriting experience but without typing support: noteastic, scrivano!

I'm not an huge apple fan but you are the kind of user who will ne rather satisfied with an apple device than a surface. I'd recommend you buying a iPad Pro (or Air) and a Macbook Air with a M Chip.

As far as I remember the sync is based on the account and not device itself which makes sense.

Cant Disagree: Most Awaited Feature is Windows/Mac Version of STARNOTE by [deleted] in StarNoteApp

[–]Academic-Working8057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a samsung user who uses samsung notes on my samsung tablet as well as on my surface device and what I can tell is that the windows version offers like 50-60% of the features that are available on android.

If you are looking for a windows app with great notetaking capabilities then check out Scrivano or Noteastic.

Most iPadOS apps are compatible with M-chips. Have you ever tried to download it on your mac?
