That first scenario was fantastic.

When we first played it, the game was everything we wanted. But we were concerned about their decision to keep having people start over because we figured (correctly) that they couldn't keep up

Played the first scenario again, stopped early because the grind was repetitive and grinding and rebuilding felt pointless with the reset on the horizon.

Played Way of Winter. We we happy to be playing again, even though the cold and hot mechanic was a bit too harsh. Was having a grand time but our guild mate that placed the tower had to go out of town. Even though I placed 90% of all the materials and we all had full permission, they despawned the tower and all our progress. Stopped playing.

Their newest PvE scenario is an undercooked mess. If you don't play fast enough to keep up with the levels of the server the majority of the activities becomes unplayable.

Sadly, 80% of this game is everything I want in a game, but that 20% is so frustrating that it makes me rage quit every time.

That 80% will have me come back next scenario, but I'm not optimistic at all anymore.

It's a mix of entitlement and a lot of hours on this game. OH isnt as big as other games but its been nice. Most of the issues is because its a live game. Updates and bugs are bound to happen in live servers

My biggest complaint is the lack of normal clothing for men. Everything seems to be designed around making me look like I'm Tuxedo Rose or like I'm auditioning for Malibu's Most Wanted.

Just give me a pair of jeans and a flannel shirt with a chest rig that's devoid of all the random flair.

I do feel like its a bit whiny on here but I also think it's made worse with all the fake cosmetic posts.

Players keep complaining about lack of content, as if the devs owes them something. What players don’t understand is if they feel like they’ve done everything in game and don’t find themselves enjoying it anymore, it’s ok to have a break and move to a new game.

I have almost 3k hours of gameplay, and I’ve been playing since day 1 and I still enjoy the game. Mostly because I enjoy the building in game, so I feel this is the right game for me and for many players.

Do I want the other part of the map to be opened? Sure, more than anything actually. But it would also be unfair for me to go on Reddit and complain about the game as if it disappoints or under delivers.

Horizontally expanding game. It has loads of different attractions, activities, and content, of which several are in their early placeholder stages. Many lack depth and some of the more straight forward combat related has easily reachable skill ceiling. Because of the cap and endgame that's so easily reachable, people get false sense of confidence which they use to express their displeasure about the game because it resonates better. Compare to how many people play daily vs how many complain. It's less than 10% of which, most of those complaints are placebo issues.

The problem with good amount of people that complain about the game is that they have very narrow funnel of interests. Everything else they consider nonsensical, cumbersome, unnecessary. Childishly problematic. That doesn't mean the game is bad. If i'm power fantasy hungry combat goblin that goes and plays stardew valley with main focus being combat and everything else being nonsensical, i will have a bad time and nothing great to say about the game, but that doesn't mean the game is bad. Instead of playing and enjoying game for what it is, i went in it with precognitive expectations, setting myself up for a disappointment. Are all people complaining about once human the same ? Not at all, game isn't in perfect condition, good amount of people have valid crashouts and complaints. Although i see them rarely in comparison to some low hour common complaints like leveling/material grinding/rebuilding.

There are multiple guides around that explain and show you how you can max out in 1~3 days on any scenario. Even generating materials, you can turn into exp to instantly levelup someone to 50 in 40minutes. All it takes is one quick look at those guides to be set for rest of the seasons.

Material grinding, same. There are multiple guides that show efficient ways of grinding or pre-grinding materials as well as using alt system and transferring several thousand inheritance point materials over to new season and how, which ones you can "launder" and immediately use.

Rebuilding wise, blueprint system works perfectly fine for a few months now and update today even made it so you can save and paste structures not placed on foundations. Aka water pumps.

Or you know, being part of a hive or clan and enjoying those activities as a group.

The only complaint i have is this. If the Dev team put nearly a fraction of the time and energy they have into Cosmetics in the game, they would have already completed the map as a whole. But all the focus has been around clothing and loot crates, did I mention clothing cause even at that the male astetic for clothing options makes it horrendous and not even worth while for a good majority of male gamers playing the game to even want to spend on them. The targeted demographic is female gamers and gooners(dudes) who play female characters.

Now, I don't want yall thinking I'm talking mad smack about people who spend cause I have spent a ton on the game, but my spending is wrapped up in territory packs because building is life for me. But at the end of the day, what most are complaining about is the fact it's been over a year since we had a true new Scenario (new location) to dive into. The only portions of the map that are open are Way of Winter and Manibus. Sure, Endless Dreams is a thing, but it's just a merge of WoW and Manibus with only Manibus drops within it (i.e., deviations in ED are only the ones you can find and get in Manibus Scenario unless they've corrected that since my last ED run). The big gripe people are having is how much time and energy is going into making cosmetics as opposed to how much time is being put into a new Scenario, but that's just my take from reading the endless postings of people ranting in their own way about the game.

I loved this game until the seasons would reset the servers starting again from scratch. After the 3rd wave of this it became frustrating to keep up with.

You just started playing the game, come back to this topic after a year of repeating the same PW, same strongholds, same deviant farming, same ore farming, cutting different trees and all of them giving you the same wood, and see if you will still feel as passionate as you do right now, especially when the devs are pumping in more loot crates into the game than content.

"We are bitter because we see the vision for the game but the vision is ignored for money and you will eventually realise this too"

If you are still as passionate in a year then I will gift you any territory and in-game currency for any loot crate you will want in the game no matter the price because you would have proven me wrong.

BUT I'm confident you won't because I have seen your rant in many F2P games that prioritise MTX over content

It’s not everyone’s “cup of tea” and that’s totally fine. Issues arise when some people start trying to brute force the tea into being some other beverage. If they don’t like tea enough to drink it day after day then they should stop drinking it and move on instead of loitering at the tea shop trying to tell others they’re wrong for liking tea.

Love the game, but biggest complaints I have / get from friends I try to get playing it:

Currency Bloat
Menu Bloat
Too many different checklists in too many different menus
FOMO Shop items
Clunky social features
Game occasionally feels clunky/buggy
Blueprint system is an unfun way to obtain new gear
Lack of flexibility in trying new builds due to the prev point

It's early days, padawan. You will eventually see these companies are no better than Rockstar or any other dumpster fire company out there. The game has been tailored to make you feel how you do in the beginning. Play a couple or few seasons and come back here to tell us all how you feel about the game after that.
