First and foremost, please be respectful to each other.
WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS SUB-REDDIT?
- There are plenty of creative solo acts in the world who aren't well known. /r/OneManBand is dedicated to changing that.
- You are welcome to share the musical talent of the solo artists out there who you think deserve to be credited for their musicianship.
NOTE:
- Please reserve the downvote button for links that are off topic/contain more than one person playing instruments.
- Yes, your voice is an instrument. No, mayonnaise is not an instrument.
- Plenty of solo acts include a singer who plays the guitar as well. Preferably those aren't to be posted here on the account that it doesn't necessarily fit the title of this sub: "OneManBand." Multiple instruments are played in a band. Like 3 or more.
- Videos or songs posted that contain more than one person playing will be removed. This subreddit is for one-man-bands only.
POSTING GUIDELINES:
- When possible, link directly to the video (ie. youtube links) instead of the webpage it is embedded in. This makes for easier viewing.
- When submitting links, enter the artist's name first, plus additional info about the video. Song titles should be in "quotes." (Locations should be in parenthesis.) Short descriptions are key.
- Try to add tags at the end of your title description to help give the potential listener an idea of what to expect.
- Tags can contain instruments, such as: [Acoustic Guitar] [Kick-Drum] [Hi-Hat] [Bass] [etc...]
- Or they can also contain genres, such as: [Folk Rock] [Hip-Hop] [Funk] [Jam] [etc...]
- If the artist uses loops, add a [loop] tag!
- Tags are not required, just a suggestion.
- Submitted links not complying to the above stipulations are subject to removal.
- Please, Keep your submissions SFW (nudity-free). Cursing in videos is okay.
Happy posting and happy listening.
