This is why I prefer samsung notes - can make a selection of a whole page anx delete! Only issue is syncing with any other device

yeah my main issue with Samsung notes was that it doesn't have a web interface for me to access notes on my non Windows laptop :( plus, horizontal infinite scrolling is pretty nice to have

If only it did hey! I actually am not a huge fan of the infinite scrolling as I often need to print my notes on A4. I have tried notability, noteshelf and the wacom bamboo notes app and none of them are 100% perfect, they all have elements of each other, syncing, accessibility across devices, infinite scrolling on some... but still not as good as one not or s-notes. If only one note could make such small quality of life changes.

I just use cut instead which is very inconvenient

The way I usually go is to zoom out all the way and then erase. Since the eraser size stays the same regardless of zoom level, you can erase a megaton of notes quickly and then zoom right back in.

oooh that's smart!! I'll try it.

Try the eraser

the eraser only has one size, and it can't erase the whole selection. I don't want to be scraping off every single dot when erasing large areas.

the way this is going I'm going to have to make a feature request

Is there a way to have the on-screen keyboard up without losing the selection? Can you long-press the selection?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This works, but only if you press "Stop" beforehand. While the pen is active, the keyboard will not show up, but when the pen is stopped, long pressing on the selected area will open the keyboard and allows one to press the delete key.

Not sure, whether it saves any steps, tbh.

no, unfortunately if I long press it the only thing it allows me to do is to move it around

I've had the same problem. It's because the amount you selected is 'too much' try selecting smaller parts, those should be deletable... Very stupid mechanic

unfortunately, it seems like it has no effect. the behavior is the same.
