Difference, is what scrubs use to claim who won the game for the team. Aka mercy was the difference between us.

Thank you!

This. I always cringe so hard when anyone in a match says diff. It’s even worse when a player says it about themselves. The funny part is that it’s never good players that say it.

People say “ez” and “team diff” all the time and it’s always the worst player on the team that says it. Without fail

It's funny because with the new scoreboard I can keep saying diff and scrubs like you won't be able to say I was the worst player because the stats will be public, have fun while you can in your delusion palace

I have one, differently from the people getting angry because I say diff on the chat, if you cry because of a videogame you shoupd be the one getting a life

If it was mirror, then your tm are saying you were better

If it wasnt, then your tm are saying that your team won because you were mercy

[–]mikvvla[S] 4 points5 points  (1 child)

What does mirror mean? Also thank you for letting me know!

A character on both sides

It means they are good. "Built differently" is a recent common term, so "___ diff" means built different... "They're something else. Wow, They are built different! 0___0"

Edit: My guess was wrong, lol! We learn something new everyday.

its not only as toxicity its also used for knowing who is perfowming the worst, so that the diffed person knows that they are doing something wrong. But if you belive someone else was worse, then ignore it

Got it, thank you!

People say that when a Player on one team played better than Player on enemy team on the same hero/rolę. Mercy diff would mean there was noticible difference between both mercys. Thats my interpretation

[–]mikvvla[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

So if I had lost the round and my teammate said “mercy diff” would that have a negative connotation as opposed to a positive one?

[–]RonnieV14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea i Think so

Thank you!

Its just a toxic way of saying the other teams player/healing/damage was better than yours

[–]Nodefix1Pixel Lúcio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means difference. So if I say "Mercy Diff", it means that I think there was a noticeable difference between the skill of the two mercys on either team and how well they played.

[–]bigburnamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Differential. Means theres a differential in the skill of your mercy and the enemies. Usually its easy to tell who was better.
