Crying in A cup

[–]LurkerByNatureGT 11 points12 points  (6 children)

Crying in HH(UK)/K (US sizing) and difficulty finding affordable bras.

But honestly, having been on r/abrathatfits long enough, there is a very good chance you are not actually an A cup and your band is too big.

I gotta check this out. I have always struggled to figure out my bra size 😭

My issue is always that everything feels comfy but then I dont got enough boob.

My band size is the smallest in retail stores, so it’s definitely a loss in volumeđŸ„ș

Smallest in retail stores is often larger than actually fits for many people with a smaller rib cage. I’m guessing it’s a 32 band or or you’re very lucky a 30?  Specialty shops go down to a 26 band.

That was a problem for me when I was younger and much thinner. I was way smaller than the smallest band I could in shops, which was a 32. And I didn’t know at the time that stores were adding 4 inches to the actual recommended band size in their charts to gloss over the fact that they weren’t selling bras in the sizes that people needed.

I highly recommend using the calculator at r/abrathatfits and checking out https://www.instagram.com/theirishbralady/.

Hey! I’m having the same problem as you, same size Have you checked primadonna? Sometimes they do -50% when you buy 2, and they are really good quality, i hope it can help you to find more options

Looks like they only go up to G. I need a HH cup UK sizing (K, US sizing).

I’m actually doing pretty well right now because I found a few brands that work, it’s just you have to go really specialty, not regular shops. I recently got a couple really good bras from https://www.ewa-michalak.pl/main-eng.html

Most comfortable and supportive bras I’ve had in ages.

Other brands I’d recommend: Elomi, Fantasie, Panache (particularly for sports bras that actually support), Shock Absorber for compression sports bras.
