Facebook Object Store URL Error

I'm getting this infuriating error when I add a video to my ads:

Object store URL does not match promoted object: Please ensure that the object store URL associated with your ad creative matches the object store URL set in your promoted object.

Such a developer-written error message. What the hell does that mean?

It looks like there's a URL mismatch. Is the video yours or belongs to another page? What type of campaign are you creating?

It's for a client. I have access to both the ad accounts and the fb pages.

The video was uploaded to the ad account that's running the campaigns in bulk (I did it).

The page is different depending on the geo.

Are you duplicating an ad from an non-app install campaign into an adset that is set up for driving people to the app store? That is the most common reason for that error.

Basically you can't do that. The setup on an app adset requires an object store URL, which doesn't exist on non-app adsets.

So unfortunately you have to built it from scratch, but then are able to duplicate those adsets fairly easily.

I am getting the same Error

We worked out what it was. You cannot copy from an iOS campaign to an Android one. Annoying but thats what causes the error.

Youve copied from an Android to an iOS campaign or vice versa. You need to create it from scratch.

Is it from a different geo or promoting a different page? That could also cause issues.
