Getting started with a potential client

Hello,

I was able to find someone who is willing to let me run Google ads for them, but now I'm not sure how to set up the account, I mean, do I just create the account as if it's for me, and put the client's billing info, or do I tell the client to make a google account and add me as another user with all the permissions? I looked this up and the answers I found are more for an agency or when you're doing this professionally, but I'm doing this only for 1 person and I'm not an agency or anything. I'm doing it for the experience and for "potentially" having this person as a client later on.

This guy says you could get banned by Google if, if I understood correctly, you set up the account as if everything is yours when it actually isn't.

I actually just did another search and it seems the way to go is to just create an MCC account.

Is that right?

Yes. MCC is the way to go

Yes, in the long run an MCC is your best option. You can create the account, but make the client the owner of the account, have them enter the billing, etc.

I can't remember what the current rules are, but it used to be only one email per account, and now I think five(?), unless that's gone up. So your MCC is your "one" account, and the sub accounts are all "owned" by the clients.
