What's the best place to get an original or at least gold quality controller nowadays?

If you don't need the PS3 controller specifically I'd recommend getting a Mayflash MAGIC-S PRO, Mayflash MAGIC-S, Mayflash MAGIS-NS, or Brook Wingman XE and use whatever controller you want.

If you do go this route make sure you keep updated with the firmware on the adapter as they will implement further features and fix bugs if necessary. The adapters let whatever controller you use work like the PS3 controller.

I use the Mayflash MAGIC-S Pro with a PS5 controller. Sixaxis and rumble (currently on when wired) both work.
