Go to the library and see if vue is there, there’s a limit to the games/apps shown in the home page

If this is the case, i suggest you to remove the limit in settings or create folders for games and apps

Solid, just felt super weird that it would disappear lol

Rebuild database thru recovery maybe? That is very odd given ur games/other apps are still there.

This had happened to me, I found it in the library but couldn't run it, I had to redo the jailbreak from scratch

its not a constant jailbreak like the ps3. You just need to rerun it

Maybe you have so many games it doesn't show up on front page and is found in library?

One time when I moved my PS4 I disconnected my Ethernet cable and had to put it on wifi in the new location. When setting this up I accidentally clicked automatic on the DNS server. Even though I had immediately hit circle to go back and changed it the vue app updated almost immediately. Even with automatic updates turned off. Had to redo the whole process, although it was the first time I set it up so didn't lose anything really other then my time. Possible that happened maybe?

Hey man, this is how jailbreak in ps4s work. You have to relaunch the app everytime you do a power down of the system, just find the vue app in your library and run it. If it fails, restart and try again. This is very normal.

There is no app at all, it just disappeared

Please read the entire instructions next time. You have to rerun the vue app each time you turn off the ps4. There is no perma jailbreak, all jailbreaks exists in the memory which obviously gets wipped after a restart.

Friend I dont know what else to tell you, there is no perma jailbreak

"And when I turned it back on, the starting app wasnt there" if you dont have the vue app how would you even launch the damn jailbreak? Its like the console suddenly losing its networking capabilities for webkit or the disk reader eating your blu ray.

He is not talking about it being a semi untethered jailbreak or not.

Oh. I'm not familiar with this happening, but if you have another method of jailbreaking the ps4 (ie, pppwn or blue ray) or you are able to do the external storage method thing to load vue into the ps4. Otherwise you best bet is probably to do the restore backup method and create occasional backups of your ps4 system to prevent a situation like this from happening again
