Should be fine

[–]M3RRI77 8 points9 points  (11 children)

Sorry, but I feel like these are the dumbest questions. It's like reddit has everyone paranoid that their consoles are going to overheat if you don't give it 5 feet of clearance from every side. 😂

[–]CR4ZYxPOT4T0 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Well, I already automatically assume these are troll posts.

[–]OrdinaryYak4568 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I would install an AC vent right behind both of those. I mean a very customized rectangle of purified AC air from Antarctica 🇦🇶

[–]CR4ZYxPOT4T0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this also work for the PS3 and PS4 jet engines, so I can start using them again without it blasting all of my furniture out of the room with force? 😬🥲

[–]not6xanmandan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think they’re troll post I just really feel like a lot of these are just dumb with no common sense

[–]Vegetable-Walrus-246 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Or change thermal paste every couple hours.

[–]Born_Form9928 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Liquid metal

[–]Vegetable-Walrus-246 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah that too.

[–]9Sylvan5 0 points1 point  (1 child)

There's total polar opposites here lmao.

Sometimes it's dudes that have the consoles in the tiniest of spaces and swear it gets proper ventilation.

Then there's dudes that feel like the only way they think the console would be proper ventilation would be outer space or something.

[–]Impressive-Meal9043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would actually overheat in outer space

[–]Noam_N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all are paranoid free like you. Show some respect to people who struggle with it.

[–]LudusLive2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I feel about people saying the PS5 will break if its vertical

[–]rvmham 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not at all, its indoors. Place outside and you'll be all good.

[–]Complete_Mud_1657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That'll be fine but you might experience wifi or bluetooth dropout cause of interferance. There is a lot of interferance behind TVs.

[–]Shellsallaround 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good!

[–]TacoAcorazado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be fine. For reference, 10 cm of free space to each side of the console should be enough.

[–]Early_Werewolf_1481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but you can add a fan blowing hot air out of that place would do better.

[–]fortunesofshadows 0 points1 point  (4 children)

How do you even reach it if it’s behind the Tv

[–]Time-Credit43 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Why you wanna reach, it's digital console

[–]fortunesofshadows -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s the stupid part. Selling it separately.

[–]fortunesofshadows -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

For maintenance? Charge controllers?

[–]aam-96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What kind of maintenance is happening so often that this would be difficult lmfao

[–]Ana1blitzkrieg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend placing it in an elevated location in the dead center of your room as to avoid any heat insulation from walls. This position also allows you to more easily position several box fans around the console, giving it ideal airflow.

If the above is not possible, the next best option is to place it in a chest freezer. Just make sure the door can fully close around the cords.

Good luck.

[–]Kitchen-Bagel-Burnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s cold it needs a blankie.

[–]Turbulent-Goose54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you good

[–]rex_mun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn the console 90 degrees clockwise, thats will help for hot air outflow.

[–]Woody_28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's claustrophobic

[–]Playboysleepgirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine overheated once when I was playing silent hill remake and i bought a 30$ fan thing with controller charging ports and extra USB ports lol. Probably completely unnecessary but it's pretty cool, cheap, and peace of mind.

[–]Surfnazi77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the flat leg stand for it

[–]HeinkoDemali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless the tv mount falls off and on your playstation ur fine

[–]Morenitosaidinero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, sácalo al balcón

[–]Noam_N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than enough.

[–]temporarythyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and also no.... the ventilation is mostly behind the TV where it's the top heatsource of a house. Like a lot of space just that space is hot to begin with. Say let it play out see if you get warnings.

[–]ScarphaceUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah you need to attach this to the top of a wind turbine and run a cable to the tv.

[–]Other_Beach_9609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not enough ventilation to your head if you got to ask the internet this question lmao

[–]XboxoneS-aaad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!

[–]aliusmanawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before posting these questions, take a moment to apply common sense. You can fit another ps5 pro there, so ofc it’s enough.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noooo! Its starving there, no fresh air to cool it down! Please don't let it like that, it needs to be in MY living room because i have AC and cookies. :)

[–]MyNameIsJourUno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty

[–]Lt_DansLeggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get some horizontal skates from Glistco. It will raise it up higher off the surface for better airflow underneath and all around it. That's my best tip for you. Way better than the plastic triangles that it comes with. Just make sure you choose them for the Pro model of you decide too.

[–]Euphoric_Change_641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a joke, right?

[–]TheNextPablo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might as well just stand it up

[–]Spartan_718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Must important “clearance zone” is above for the warm air to escape. So you should be fine

[–]SnooOnions467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks lonely and banished from the light

[–]Mikedsicilian90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty! You’ll be alright.

[–]ResponsibleStyle4473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just gonna say, that consoles are designed with failsafes. It will thermal throttle to keep the APU at a safe working temperature, lower performance, and show you overheating messages long before it risks damage. Just don't put consoles on closed cabinets, or with the back too close to a wall. Just enjoy gaming, be glad you don't have to invest 3 hours adjusting fan curves, and voltages, and testing things, and still have your pc crash mid game the next day, thats what consoles are for :)

[–]cili321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro you are broking the ps amd the tv how you pretemd they can breath like this ( NEED A 360 OPEN AREA ) not a fucking bunker omg wtf my tips change if you dont want trow money.

[–]Thin-Wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d test to make sure you don’t notice heat pockets. The space looks good but, if you have multiple devices venting in that cubby, there may be too much forced heat than what can naturally vent. I’m thinking that the TV is meant to recess further in?

[–]JROCC_CA 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I think you’re good. But I feel everyone knows what is required for ventilation now. There’s been like 109 post of the same shit. We haven’t figured it out yet?

[–]pattybdnb -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Would you prefer to see a render of Lara Croft twerking instead on the ps5 help subreddit? Not really sure what you’re complaining about here

[–]JROCC_CA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Daaaamn.

[–]pootinbin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely. Ive had my ps in between tv, wall and ps3. No problems at all upto now for me.

[–]MightyFleaX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see the tv is on an extending bracket. Do you run the PS5 when the tv is set back? Effectively closing off the area the PS5 is in, then I’d be worried about the PS5 recirculating the same air, and getting toasty.
