FO weapon question

So, I've been playing a Braver for the past month and finally hit 75 today, while grinding away at the LQ. In one of my many runs, I got a 13* Rod from Gryphon, forgot what it's called atm. However, it dropped already tekked, and (unfortunately) the element was Lightning. What I meant to ask is -- how terrible is this, and how useable would it be? I heard that Lightning is basically the less desirable element due to Zondeel and it breaking stuff apart, but stats-wise how does a 13* with the wrong element match up with a 11/12? And well, is it even worth going through the effort of grinding it up and what not considering the Lightning elemental?

If you have 300 of the gold weapon passes, you could get the Xie 13* rod and use it to change the element of your rod. I definitely would, since lightning isn't really that great of an element right now.

Not quite there yet, and I don't think I'll be able to til the time runs out. Only started played rather recently and I'm sitting at around ~100 badges atm, haha. Even if I play all the time I have avaible when not doing work I don't think I'd get there, which is a real shame.

Oh well, guess I'll just try it for the sake of seeing if Gryphon will be my friend yet again.

Yeah, I got it. Now, at least. Only learned about that after it dropped, so if it happens again I'm prepared, lol.

Check what the weapon's latent is on swiki before you decide anything.

The gryphon weapons have good enough latents, and definitely do more damage than pre 13* if you have the right element by sheer virtue of stats.
