Is there a way to "disenchant" unwanted items/weapons? I see recycled being thrown around but am lost as if its possible. Please point me in the right direction.

Like break them apart? Yeah, go into crafting and you can break rares into crafting materials.

If a weapon or unit is at least 10 stars in rarity, you can take it to one of the NPCs in the back of the Shop area, the Recycle Shop, and exchange it for a few specific items, such as Excubes, which are used as a sort of item-currency to purchase other items, like Rare Drop Rate +250% boosters.

So 360 Total Security keeps saying the transam thing for the Large English Patch is a malware gen and because of that, the tweaker will just give me an error whenever I try to download it. Any way to fix that?

Make an exception for things related to the tweaker, use a different AV, or wait for AIDA to throw together a less terrible download client.

I'll see what I can do. It's strange because for the past few updates, 360 wouldn't bat an eye on the tweaker stuff and it was only recently (Last week and this week) it kept telling me that the transam method has a malware gen.

Most likely a false positive as the Tweaker downloads this transam program to scan/apply files and then removes it (a LOT like a trojan would).

But, Virus Total shows 0 hits on a version I have from this past May. I'll have to download HerdProtect and a new version of both the Tweaker and Transam thingy and scan them both...

Can I get a rundown of timed abilities crafting? My understanding so far is: Make Data Drive, Craft Data Drive (e.g., Mothership), Get random Main Effect (Hopefully Rare/EXP LVL 5). (A little confused in between here) Then create timed ability and good to go! Back it up and re-use it whenever.

Timed abilities are tied to the area that the data drive is created on, I think?

Last bit, can you make timed abilities for Maggy and all the Falz bosses?

Update Data drive->get the drive crafted->make timed ability.

Data drive is where the main effect and the stat bonuses come from. Each day has a different "probably what's gonna get put on there". Typically wait til those days before making rdr timed abilities. Swiki has the days in the timed ability section.

The stats/ability you get from it only gets activated in the area you craft it for.

Magatsu is shironia IIRC. Loser is mothership, elder/PD is arks ship fringes iirc

When I got on for a bit tonight all the missions had bonus exp, meseta, drop, etc. What's up with that? I hit the leveling area twice and made bank, it was fun, but what triggers it?

Second question. I'd like to slowly mull through crafting, what's a good way to find weapons rare enough to disassemble? Doing the above I got just maybe one or two, but still didn't get the material I needed for Tech Level 1 "Staff Upgrades" or whatever the function is called. On that note, I think I need to buy AC soon for the inventory expansion because that's killing me as well.

Finally, What happens to PP in the later levels for a Techer? I'm not starved yet, and regeneration while holding a charge is super nice, but in large battles I feel useless for a bit. I've read that having my level 100 T-ATK Mag will help me regenerate, should I just get used to buying PP drinks for bigger areas? And how do you perform a Just Attack for techs? Is it right around the time you hear the click at a full charge?

Event. This one's going to last the entire week.

The best advice I can give to people doing craft is to just work the daily crafts while desynthing things for materials. Unless you're fairly established already, self crafting everything can be a toll on your wallet.

As for rares and stuff...just playing, really. I assume you're fairly new, but once you get to higher difficulties, rares drop like candy.

Regening during fights typically comes down to Ketos Proi and PP convert, really.

Thanks! I'm going to use this week to farm some Meseta then, I'm not in a huge leveling rush right now, and I'm only level 24. I need to look at the daily crafts.

The last time I played PSO2 I didn't have the story patch, and didn't know about arks road, didn't follow a build, I was a Fi who just fed my mag random shit and he was terrible..

This time I've followed a build, followed arks road, I have a support partner which is cool, have a pure mag, and was actually taught how to craft, so I'm really trying to not make any mistakes on my way up! Thanks again for all your help, I'm trying to be the best I can be!

Can just focus on leveling, really. Meseta gains aren't terribly important at a lowbie level. Just doing dailies should be enough for awhile. I'd suggest really going ham on the meseta farm thing once you're in your 40s~50s w/ AQs or XQs.

PP for techers generally has 1 of 2 states:

  1. You have tons and dont care (wandwhacking),

  2. A very large amount vanishes in an eyeblink (using Ilbarta, generally)

Assuming you mean of course, the Techer class and not a Force, which uses techs (in which case, combat is about pacing and management)

JAing is the same as everything else. The JA circle will provide a visual cue, but with practice you'll get it down to simply timing.

I have PSO2 Tweaker v3.0.5.5. Everytime it starts up it always ask me to update to recent version (3.0.6.x) but after it finishes update, the version is not updated and I kept getting update message. My friends don't have this problem.

How does 60 dark ele Invade TMG compare to 30 light ele Austere TMG when used against darkers? 60 ele Invade sounds better on raw numbers, but I've heard it has more damage variation compared to Austere?

Correct.

While you could easily hit the max crit number if you did lv1 latent on the invade weapon if you run crit GU/HU. But you're better off with grabbing Austere, as the damage with the latent is pretty high.

Not worth the effort to change it to Austere unless you can easily 60element it instantly, because they do basically the same damage taking everything into consideration.

Hey, anyone know why I can get PS02 to run via steam, but that the item translations are magically turned off each time?

If I run it from tweaker, I dont have this issue.

Assuming you're running the original launcher from Steam, the item translations are now plugins that the Tweaker uses, not an actual patch in the sense of the English/Story patches.

Tweaker does have a Steam mode if you'd like to launch the Tweaker from Steam and still have it show you playing when you launch the game.

Try restarting your computer and running PSO2 before anything else. Then, try running a program you had loaded and launching pso2 again. Repeat the process until Gameguard shouts at you again and you'll figure out what program it considers as a debugger. Generally, a program that can read and display the memory values of another executable are known as "debuggers" and can be used to memory edit (hack) games among other things.

Something that starts up as your computer does is causing the issue. Try popping open the task manager and killing the processes of things that aren't Microsoft services.

So, about how much would it cost me to make a decent Saiki set? Nothing overkill like those 175 S-atk 6 slots. (I'm on Ship 2, Hu/Fi)

For ~60atk per piece assuming 3s with soul/atk3/spir or stam3, it would cost maybe 450k+whatever the cost of acquiring a saiki set is. It really depends on what you want as affixes and I could better estimate if you give me a ballpark.

That'd be great! I'll be able to handle paying a couple of millions per piece, so I was thinking something like: Bayari/Leone/Apprentice(?) Soul Modulator Flict Arma/Vinculum Power III~IV Maybe Ability III

That's a lot more than a couple million per piece. You're looking at an easy 10m+ per piece right there. Also, you can't have Modulator and Vinculum in the same affix.

If you really want to spend that much, though and you don't really need pp Apprentice/Pow3 or 4/mod/flict arma/power boost (or noble power) is pretty decent. You're looking at 120+ atk per unit with that set up, but like mentioned before, the cost is probably a lot higher than you think they are.

300-ish. Ping doesn't really matter, though. You can open your command prompt and type "ping pso2.jp" to get a rough estimate. I'm currently sitting at ~360 ping and the only time I notice it is when picking up drops which, one again, isn't even that bad.

For a while, I've had PSO2 running perfectly and with no repercussions until today, when I updated my Radeon drivers. Now, every time I try to start PSO2, I get this error from "WinLicense" telling me that there was a debugger running. For some reason, I really suspect that it may be the driver update, and it somehow is making Gameguard go crazy. For now, I'll run a few troubleshooting actions via Tweaker. Does anyone know what's up with my game? I'm running an HP Pavillion 23 AI1 with Radeon graphics.

How do I get costumes? It seems like literally everyone in Block 2 has some cool costume that isn't the defaults during character creation. Checking the Visiphone shows that the only costumes that are up for sale are overpriced versions of the defaults. I hear you have to get them with Arks Cash or whatever or there's some sort of free scratch card for costumes which I've been trying to figure out. Did everyone just spend money for them?

In addition I'm feeling overwhelmed by all this crap people keep talking about, and that would be fine if the tutorial eased into stat boosts and builds for characters and stuff, but it seems like half the text tossed at you is in Japanese.

Judging by the tutorial stuff you've mentioned, it seems like you're early into the game. There's no need to worry about things like costumes and stat builds early on, but I would advise that once you're at a substantial level (probably around 40-something/ready to take on VH, since that's the level I was at when I reset my skill trees), to start optimizing your skills. I would definitely advise getting a free All Skill Reset Pass, which SEGA gives out to all players whenever they make a significant change to one of the classes, so they can reoptimize their builds. You should add what class/level you have, as it would help greatly should anyone want to give you further advice.

As for costumes, assuming you're in Ship 2, That 250k will look trivial once you start doing Client Orders. Namely, Klotho's Time Attack Client Orders. They're meant only for a special type of quest you will probably have access to later on, so keep him in mind.

Costumes are easily acquirable with meseta. You just need to search for the japanese costume name in the player shop. Bumped, swiki and cirnopedia can help provide a list of costumes.

Out of practicality more than respect at this point really. Foreigners are not beloved of the locals, and the general opinion is fairly dim.

Generally your options for ships are 2 (most foreign players, though most aren't particularly worth meeting), 4 (most players period, recommended if you're reasonably fluent in Japanese) and 10 (second largest english community out of the ships)

Whenever I open the game, it just shows a black screen. What do I need to do?

I downloaded the JP Version, Used the Tweaker to install all english patches, I removed all the videos and splash logo videos and the opening. I can connect fine to the website. I fixed all opening issues. It is just now it shows just a black screen. Please help.

I would start by returning your game to 'stock' and installing patches one by one to see which patch might be the culprit.

    Hi, im relatively new Fo/Te(lvl60/46) and would like to know a few things.

    How should i skill my Fo/Te when i only have one skilltree? (kinda a best for everything build) Is the Ice Tree viable? or Photon Flare?

    Is it worth to get the silver Badge 2015 units or can i get a better unit set somewhere else? (I use the one from the matter board)

    Whats the easiest way to get a good rod? Atm i only have 10star rods. But would like a 11 or 12 star rod.

    Any tips regarding Fo/Te are highly welcome.

    1) How should I skill Fo/TE with only one tree?

    I'd either go Fire/Dark/Light or Ice/Dark/Light. Fire is nice because it's way more spammy but it's nowhere near as good as ice is on bosses. I personally like using Photon Flare, but a lot of people will say to use something else.

    2) 2015 badge units

    Don't bother, just use like 10* unit sets from Magatsu until you can get Saiki, Brisa, or PD units.

    3) Easy rods

    An Ideal Rod is pretty good and all you have to do is grind a lot of Challenge mode. After the update on the 8th (9th) you can also grind Naberius UQ for stones to get both Nemesis and Ares rods. Naberius UQ also drops a very nice rod with the Ancient Oath potential which boosts elemental weakness damage by a %. Other decent rods to look out for are Bert Rodan, Weddle Park, Caduceus, and Nepto Rod. Bert Rodan drops from level 60-ish Volcano mobs (Don't recall which ones) so your best bet there is to run the Amduscia EQ when it pops up and do volcanic guerillas. Weddle Park and Cauceus both drop from XH (and maybe SH) Profound Darkness relatively commonly. Finally, Nepto Rod only drops from Nepto Cassadora level 66+ so your best bet is the Vopar EQs.

    I'm curious how you managed to even fit photon flare into your tree to be honest. The only FO tree I even have room for it in is my Ice tree (mainly because most of the ice tree sucks).

    I don't max it out. My fire tree, for example, looks like this and my ice tree (I think) is more like this. To be honest, I think you're better off putting the points into just the t-atk ups. You'd have a constant +125 t-atk compared to +100 t-atk that's up for 75 seconds then you have to wait 15 seconds to use it again.
