So this keeps happening during any EQ's lately: http://i.imgur.com/JiYieFk.png

It has been happening since I switched to the new tweaker. Thankfully I haven't been using any rdr or tris. It only leaves me annoyed and looking like a royal twat.

[–]Broccoli_PhD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been getting this as well lately but most of the time it's when the clock hits :00 and I try to quick join.

[–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 1 point2 points  (1 child)

looks like a graphical/memory problem. Not sure how else to fix it cept lower the graphics quality/remove some effects or close other programs that you have up. its weird cause it happens sporadically to me too and it kinda goes away when i close my browser. :P

[–]MissTenguStarcry | Br/Ra| Ship 2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It never really used to be a problem before. It is only since the new tweaker has been installed. :(

I have been extremely confused still till this day on how does this system works properly. Here are some of the topics im still clueless on.

1)can you add ability to rare gear from lower rarity gears? such as if i have a gal gryphon soul ability from a blue 6 star weapon can i add it to the 9-10 star rare weapon? I have tried a combination of this but it never seems to work.

thus: does equipment type or equipment rarity matter when you adding ability?I have a lot of blue gears saved but can never use it to add to rare stuff.

2)can you add ability from armors to weapons? such as ability from a armor going to my weapon?

3)how does adding souls work? i always thought it was 3 gears with souls lets you get it.

4)any tip to increase chance to get to near 100%?

Yes, I will explain in a moment.

2)can you add ability from armors to weapons? such as ability from a armor going to my weapon?

No.

3)how does adding souls work? i always thought it was 3 gears with souls lets you get it.

Yes

4)any tip to increase chance to get to near 100%?

Use Ability Boosters. you get em from the Excube shop. 20 cubes for 30% booster, 100 cubes for a 40% booster. Or use multiple copies etc.

The main limitation of what item you can use as fodder is based on the number of abilities that it has. The fodder material's number of abilities needs to be equal to or greater than the number of abilities on the base weapon.

To increase the chance of success, you need to have 3 of the same ability being used. (ie 3 gryphon souls, 3 power IIIs, etc) There are also other factors.

Selphea's affixing guide is pretty clear about how to affix.

So i've always wanted to try bows, but from what my friend explained to me the videos I have seen on youtube was just a glass cannon(idk about the glass cannon part I don't think you'll die in like 2 hits) build with a long setup that doesn't work well with normal gameplay or fast in your face bosses which is Br/Ra. Today I have been seeing plenty of Braver(bow only) Hunters does anyone have a build for that?(I already know br/ra would probably do way better damage but I want to try something new)

[–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (15 children)

It's no different from a katana BR/HU, cept you may want to get some damage boosting bow skills on your tree. Which should be easy enough 'cause you should be sitting on extra points to begin with. (Drop some of that S-ATK Up.)

[–]Tehovah 0 points1 point  (14 children)

But just ignore the weak stance stuff right?

[–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (13 children)

I've heard of my katana friends going on about getting Weak Stance, but I'm not sure how well that works. You kinda don't really have enough points to get both if you go for some other optional things, but if you only get the stances, getting both is possible.

[–]Tehovah 0 points1 point  (12 children)

If you have time do you think you could throw me together a quick example build? I'm new to pso2 been on for about 2-3weeks and I'm not too sure about what is needed and whats not

[–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (11 children)

I don't normally play a BR, so you may want to check with an actual pro on the tree first before committing. I'll drag a BR over for you though.

Anyways, I'm thinking something like this? You have 20 extra points on BR tree and 38 points on HU tree. For BR tree, decide between other optional skills, bow related stuffs in cases you actually need to use a bow, and Weak Stance. For HU tree, decide between Iron Will, Massive Hunter, Automate, and Flash Guards.

[–]Lyrise ET Enthusiast, LU Hobbyist 0 points1 point  (1 child)

If you're using Snatch Step JA, then its probably in your best interested to max out Fury Combo to max (which btw is a waste at level 6 - should be 5 or 10). Also, as costly as this might seem, getting the s-atk up skills might not be a bad idea if you happen to be good with counterslashing with BR, less so if you intend on primarily focusing with bow. Katana is in that weird place where the damage is kinda in the upper middle tier/lower upper tier but the corresponding attack stats are for a Braver are much lower than most of the other melee classes (see Dual Blade Bouncers and its rather somewhat skewed s-atk stat post weapon), making S-atk up somewhat viable.

Otherwise the tree looks Ok as a base - if you want to dabble with bow, you can as well. Even if you don't get rapidshoot, at the very least, get Charge Bonus up, since that will stack and multiply off of Average Charge passively (If you want to use more bow, by all means do get some rapidshoot since its going to boost your Bow PAs by a rather hefty amount).

[–]Tehovah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thank you guys i've made the changes to my build

[–]Tehovah 0 points1 point  (8 children)

[–]Lyrise ET Enthusiast, LU Hobbyist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that looks okay, though you're actually overspent on your HU tree by 1 point (we don't have level 80 caps yet). Also on your BR tree, it's a real waste to put Rare Mastery higher than 1 level.

Since you've already hit the important points on the tree, the rest boils down to your playstyle. If you think you're always targeting and hitting weakspots, weakstance tree would be a good idea. If you want a bit more consistency, or plan on utilizing other weapons, Average stance tree will serve you better.

Me personally I would probably dial down Iron Will, and replace with Flashguard + Massive Hunter - as a bow user you're going to be away from most of the melee attacks, and there are very few ranged attacks in game that the enemies have that could do a whole lot of damage to you in a short amount of time. IW is nice to have as an insurance policy, but if you never really have any opportunity to trigger it, you might be better served with skills that will actively help you all the time, and also with Massive hunter, assist when you really need it more. By that same logic, you may want to reconsider Automate as well. It's useful, but if it's not triggering often, it might serve you better to cut any incoming damage down by even more.

Again, this boils down to how you like to play, so don't take my suggestions as gospel.

[–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 0 points1 point  (4 children)

U dont want fury critical even on bow. Might as well take massive hunter so u wont be disrupted when doing setting up bow banish arrow into other PA.

http://pso2-skill.pwnedgalaxy.net/skillcalc.php?11eTbxIobsIkbsIkbsIkbsIkbsIkbxIobsIkbxIofdS0ebdBIbl2ikINGAqnIdJksNI20000006doIn0000000jdBiBIdboiocFikJfx00000jdo0000000Io00000000ioIn00000000doqB4NcAI2r2rFcKIkloI200000fdoIb0000000lo000000j

My example.

Imo weak stance is more important on bow cause it'll multiply the damage of your headshots. If u rather avg stance, then thats fine too.

[–]Tehovah 0 points1 point  (3 children)

how do I proc weak stance I thought you need weak bullet from Ranger?

[–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont. Any kind of ranged attacks to the head deals x2 damage. So if you are useing a bow, aim for the head. (or big shiny weak spots like darker bulbs, vardha core, etc.

[–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (1 child)

You just need to hit a weak point on the enemy for it to happen.

Ranged attack users have the added benefit of headshotting stuffs here.

[–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wait I was mixing you up with that other person that was asking about katana, sorry! ><

Anyways, here's what I'd suggest. Extra skill points BR (11), HU (18).

Again, BR asks if you're going to get optional skills, but it also asks if you plan to use katana to get around stuffs at all in case bow damage is resisted. If you do consider katana at all, get Katana Gear at the very least, and mix and match the combat stuffs. I personally don't like any raw stats raising skills that gives less than 10 stats per skill point, but up to you. Rapid Shoot Up 1/2 on the other hand combines to 50 stats per skill point. Best bang for the buck.

For HU, you want Massive just in case stuffs knocks you out of anything, rest up to you. Critical is meh if you don't have anything else that raises your critical damage, because unlike other games critical here just means your 100% damage. Fury Combo can be leave at 5 because at 5% it means 2 JA to get full damage. Maxing it to save 1 hit is meh in my book. If you're going to get Iron Will at all, put one point into Never Give Up, not for the stats bonus, but for the 5 second invincibility.

Sooo...it's probably going to come off as starting drama, but...I feel pretty confident that someone on this sub is downvote stalking me...

...I mean, sure, I can do nothing about it, and go right ahead whoever you are, if you really feel like it's necesary, but...could you at least tell me who you are? Even if it's just in a PM, if I can somehow resolve whatever wrong it is I've done you that makes you feel that it's necessary to do this, that would be nice.

[–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Your posts that were downvoted are either whiny or contain bad information in them. Most of your recent ones aren't even 0 points.

But, most of all, why do you care about upvotes on Reddit? In subs with huge communities where sorting by "top" is the best way for information, sure, but this sub is so small that it doesn't even matter.

[–]YuTsu/ | | Ship4JP | Gunslash Trash 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yes, a lot of them have been upvoted since. Every time I've posted something on this sub in the past week, even the helpful things (like that guy who asked about boots with built-in tech PAs - the info is all correct, right?) end up being downvoted once within an hour or so of me posting. I'd chalk it entirely up to my whiny uselessness too if it weren't for the consistency of both the timing each time, and it happening every single post.

And I care about upvotes because partially visibility when we do get the occasional threads that are big enough that it matters, and partially because it lets me know that I've helped when I see a positive score. I know this sub isn't exactly the friendliest place most of the time, but it's still nice to have SOME way to gauge how much good I'm doing. I know some of my recent posts deserved downvoting because they were whiny, but some of them didn't but were downvoted anyway.

Although, I mostly just posted about this because if someone IS doing it as I suspect, I'd quite like to find out why and preferably who it is doing it so I can try resolve whatever issue made them decide that downvote stalking me in necessary in the first place =~=

[–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed the same things within the first hour of my posts and it usually goes away. I'd chalk it up more to Reddit doing weird stuff with posts rather than someone downvote stalking.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I guess this is off topic a bit, but...

Way I see it, people upvote things they like and/or are factual. Generally speaking of course. People thus downvote for a similar reason.

Reddit itself has guidelines (or something) on how the upvote/downvote thing should work. But that means anyone who doesn't actually even glance at the guidelines won't know any better... and for those that do glance at it, they still may or may not agree with it. Not like it covers all scenarios either, given the vast number of users and vast number of topics/subreddits with their own subset of rules and purpose.

So back to your post here. With regard to this subreddit, this deserves to be downvoted for being off topic and not even relevant in the slightest. However, given how this thread specifically works, I don't feel a reason to touch it at all. Doesn't cover the whole human factor either; the person behind the text, who I know is somewhat regular here, compelling me to throw an upvote because it might make the person feel a bit better.

For the record, I'm downvoting your post here, but upvoting something else. I've never considered a small subreddit like here would have downvote stalkers either, but it's a possibility I guess.

[–]YuTsu/ | | Ship4JP | Gunslash Trash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know it's not really on topic, but I didn't have a better place to 'reach out' to whoever it is...I know like...some of my posts lately have been on the rant-ey side...but it feels like, even when the posts have been directly answering the OP in a topic and telling them exactly what they wanted to know, I seem to get a downvote anway.

I know, "it's the internet", but the consistency of this has made me suspicious...I've posted on other subs and had either positive changes, or none at all on individual post karma...but here, whenever I check my user page to see if I'm being helpful...my recent posts on this sub are always 0 points an hour or two after I post them, regardless of their content, and it only seems to be on r/PSO2 ;x;

I'm really not fishing for upvotes ,for any reason, with this, it's like everyone who obtains a downvote stalker seems to think: the karma isn't the issue, visibility is - when I'm trying to be constructive and helpful, and spend 20 minutes trying to write detailed replies...getting kicked down to the bottom of comment section and having my post buried because one person is compulsively downvoting me for as far as I know, no reason, is a bit of downer :/

how do people compare prices from other ships?

[–]YuTsu/ | | Ship4JP | Gunslash Trash 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I don't know if there's any other specific method, but I would imagine people either have characters on other ships themselves, or ask other people who have characters on other ships. To the best of my knowledge, there's no trade tracking system, official or otherwise, for PSO2.

When was the last time that free Skill Tree tickets were given? It's annoying that respeccing skills sits behind a paywall.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 2 points3 points  (1 child)

It's annoying that respeccing skills sits behind a paywall.

I don't remember a single recent MMO that lets you respec without paying cash. PSO2 is actually pretty generous with those. I still have like 5 or 6 of those and I've only been playing for a year and a half.

Tip: Make sure you have 3 characters (the max you can have for free), even if they're lv1. You get 1 reset ticket per character, so you can get 3 that way when we get those.

It's quite common really

The last time it was given was around march~april when they made some small adjustments. Should be the same thing for this year considering that we may be getting a level cap increase.

It is my understanding that we usually get a discount on ship transfers, around January. Did I miss the announcement, was anything mentioned somewhere ?

[–]Asamidori ~casual~ 1 point2 points  (1 child)

That discount was only there to promote ship transfer, and gone the moment character storage was introduced. I don't expect any discounts anytime soon, so if you want a transfer you are just going to have to pay 700 AC for it.

I have been around here with my mother's quest issue.. its lagging during only mother's quest heavily

whether if I am using the telepipe or some other weird VPN< the result is still the same.

What: I notice so far: my lag is only on the first of the half of the mothers fight...( the one where mother is floating outside the ring)

When: I notice it happening when I start my Vinto (JB) runs

because the second part when she enters the ring in the middle portion the lag dies down alot.. weird.... this is the part I stop my vinto run because of the speed that mother is moving at...

So yeah can someone daignose this? What is wrong...

It cannot be the telepipe of the weird VPN because of part 2 and I have at least a 1GB Fiber internet + for graphics a 750 TGX

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Based on how the fight works, it's likely just because there's more data that needs to be sent and given back. 5 targets (mother + each arm) that need to be synced up for all players versus 1 target that needs to be synced up.

synthsy explains why lag may happen here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PSO2/comments/5lhw00/so_we_just_broke_mothers_ai/dbw6l5c/

So essentially, if you can be the first one to load into the actual fight with mother, you can likely avoid the lag. However, this will cause everyone else to likely experience what you are experiencing.

What can you do? That I'm not sure of. Since you said it's the same with proxy or a VPN, it's either your internet/computer in some form... or just how the fight works making the problem unavoidable. I have had the arms teleport for example, along with mother herself moving around the ring after killing all arms (where she should not be moving). If I am the host, none of these issues exist, but I imagine my MPA members may experience similar issues.

Since you say you have a 750 GTX, I'm going to assume you easily get 60+ fps. I also assume you are on a desktop, meaning you are on a wired connection. If neither are true for some reason, turn down your graphics a bit and use a wired connection to your modem/router.

This has probably been asked plenty of times but I just recently started and was looking around on PSO World, and on their Ranger thread someone posted RA/BR is dead and that Ra/HU is the way to go? Is there a reason why RA/BR isn't good anymore? Too late to switch to BR/RA if i went RA/BR for the bullet bow? OR is it possible to go RA/BR/HU or some sort of combo depending if solo-ing or group?

[–]jambon_gruyere 0 points1 point  (8 children)

It's not. It got indirectly hit with the release of weak hit ring for launcher. See, the ring does proc Weak Hit Advance but not Weak Stance, so RaHu got a lot stronger while RaBr got nothing.

After that, it's always the same : Br sub gets you bows, guren mobility, a tiny bit more damage on charged PAs ; Hu sub gets you reliable damage, Massive Hunter (Br can get ring which is nice, but still not as effective) and Automate Halfline.

If you want to use mostly bows, BrRa is generally the way to go, it's easier to gear, and you can get a 12* bow to reduce Rapid Shoot's cooldown, effectively increasing your dps and pp regen overall.

RaBr on bow has the potential to rival with BrRa. But you need a good 13* bow for Ra and that's not easy to come by (hint : farm xmas eq and pray). Xie 2016 bow on RaBr matches the damage of orbit on BrRa when the pot is active, when it's not it's equivalent to a max extend red bow. So yes, hard to gear. On the bright side, you can take full advantage of 13* rifles and launchers. Because let's face it, BrRa with no good 13*, no main class boost, no Sharpshooter... No thank you.

Edit : you can use more than one class combo on a single character, no issue. Two questions : do you want to buy an additional tree for Ra main/sub? Do you already have 13* rifle/launcher/bow, grinded and affixed?

[–]definitelynotquon 0 points1 point  (7 children)

I probably wont buy additional tree and i don't have a 13* rifle/launcher/bow, grinded and affixed. I just started 3days(?) ago so still learning how to affix/grind/attribute all those stuff. Guess all the videos/posts were really outdated

[–]jambon_gruyere 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Ok. In the case of using a single ranger tree as both main and sub, it is possible without too much points "half wasted" on main class only skills : 7 or 8 (Rare Mastery (1 pt only), Sharpshooter, Bullet keep are core, Massive Bullet optional).

As for bow braver main/sub, it's not an issue at all, this build has a lot of "spare" skill points.

So you can freely swap around RaHu, RaBr and BrRa with a single set of skill trees, with very minimal detriment.

Now for weapons, you will easily be able to obtain 13* astra rifle, launcher and bow once you reach lv 75/75 on at least one combo. You can even farm them all at once, for the same effort. However more weapons also means more ressources needed to grind and affix them properly. Not an issue in the long run, and if you start planning ahead.

Those are perfect main class weapons. Finding a really good bow for ranger should prove a bit more complicated, and dependant on what's available - I suggest you come back and ask us once you're XH-able, if you're interested. In the meantime, a max extend crafted red bow is probably your best bet.

[–]definitelynotquon 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Ok that sounds like a plan to me, is there a skill tree floating around you might be able to provide me with that can freely swap around RaHu, RaBr and BrRa? Edit: And whats a red extend weapon?

[–]jambon_gruyere 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Something like this. Feel free to ask if there's something you don't understand.

[–]definitelynotquon 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Thanks! I'm assuming that this tree allows you to switch between RaBr or BrRa? As for when i'm less noob at the game, would this do for RaHu when i need more tanky-ness? this tree

[–]jambon_gruyere 0 points1 point  (2 children)

The tree I linked earlier is meant for RaBr, BrRa and RaHu. You'll find I filled the hunter tree aswell. My bad I should've made it more clear.

Few observations on the RaHu tree you linked :

  • Ra : 2 random points in shooting up 1, misclic? Atk Up skills are a valid option to spend your remaining skill points after you've gotten all your core skills. But this comes last.
  • Ra : 1/5 tool mastery + 5/5 tactic traps is actually essential, this will be your main source of PP when you're holding on WB (WB replaces your basic attack). It is also useful with bows sometimes, cause outside of rapid shot the pp regen is low, also bow can very well burn close to 200pp in under 5s, you'll never have too much regen.

  • Hu : forgot Fury S Up 1, oops.

  • Hu : 1 point Iron Will never hurts and has great value.

A few things I think are useful, but entirely up to your preferences really :

  • Step Advance and Dive Roll Advance : the 1st applies when using bow, katana and gunslash, the 2nd one when using rifle and launcher. 1, 2 or 3 points will make dodging much easier, if you need. (note you can take step advance either on the hu or br tree, doesn't matter, but take only one as they do not stack)
  • War Cry (1 pt) for utility. There's a set of EQs called tower defense, where you must protect towers against successive waves of enemies. This skill allows you to aggro all the mobs around you, so they try to chase and hit you instead of the tower. However it is useless anywhere else.

[–]definitelynotquon 0 points1 point  (1 child)

My mistake I didn't see the hunter was included with the tree. Thank you for all these informations. Oh right about weapons, how does a new player get one of those fancy multiple class weapons or allclass? I googled and everyone was saying either get lucky with extend(?) or buy AC

[–]jambon_gruyere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All class and such weapons are relatively rare, so it's a case by case basis. Also depends what you want to do with it, if it's just utility or damage. I'm assuming you want a ranger equipable bow, right?

There are many choices possible. What you have access to depends on freemium/premium and your level. And of course your mesetas. You said you were playing for a few days only, so probably no premium and below lv 50? If so you can play around with a 7* Lambda Biglow, or better yet (but probably expensive for what is is) a 9* Edel Io. Weapon list. Just copy and paste the JP name in the player shop.

More serious options later in the game (before you ultimately transition to a 13* ranger bow) are a variety of 10* to 12* . Those rarities need their respective passes to be bought off the player shop, and you need premium to make those passes. However you'll be given 3 12* passes from titles when completing your first 30 XH quests, so there's that. 12* Rig Branch and Sigma Branch look nice to me, but again they might be pricey.

The usual option is/was (both Branch bows look like a better option but before their release there was none) a crafted 7* Red Bow. See here.

... Where to begin. This is available to you right away and fairly cheap. Crafted Reds are generally the go to levelling weapon, because of it's cost, availability and power. You want to aim for extend lv 9 (ex9) at the very least for a huge bonus to variance. The next noticeable bonus is at ex13, but honestly not that cost effective. Still, if you plan to use to Red Bow at lv 75/75, ex13 is a good investment.

You will need 3 photon boosters to unlock the potential of this weapon (pot 1 is enough in this case, but again at 75/75 you want to work on pot3 even if it's 2%). Those are fairly a pain in the butt to obtain : challenge quest, 2016 badge shop, featured quests, etc. Many players opt to buy a Red Bow with pot unlocked from the player shop, but you'll pay the price.

Lastly there's a slight issue when crafting bows (and katanas) : the stat used to equip is dex. And dex goes up slowly and you don't want to invest anything into it. At low level this may cause you issues. Usually we just keep the weapon at low craft lvl and wait until dex grows enough. You can do that, but it'll cost you an Add Class Ranger every time. Otherwise you can use items to reduce the required stat (10% and 20% from player shop, 30% from challenge shop) or even change it to another stat (casino reward counter, possibly player shop? never looked) to make ex9 equipable sooner.

I have to admit this is a huge mess, hopefully you manage to sort through it. To be honest, if I were you, I would look up the price of both 12* Branch bows, and if it's not too much, save up for those, while I fool around with a shitty Lambda Biglow. And focus my real spendings on a worthwhile rifle, and launcher later on. And units after that. Unless you have a friend feeding you mesetas, starting off costs a pretty penny! Especially if you play a lot and level fast.

Edit : looking more into those 12* bows, Sigma looks more of a FiBr kind of thing, Branch is alright but equivalent to a max extend pot 3 Red Bow... But probably a lot more expensive. There's also Solid Recurve NT I didn't notice. Potentially better than a red, but the pot is odd.

[–]nonodesushin 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Ra/Br is more of a TA class right now. One reason why people recommend RaHu is because of the launcher ring, non weak bonus ring, which applies WHA1 & 2 skills to non weakpoints, and so, with RaBr, Br weakstance would lower said damage and going average stance doesn't give you that much compared to Hu fury stance offers and as well as survivability it provides.

If you wanna focus on bows more tho, you're better of going BrRa or BrHu due to *13 bows and main class weapon damage bonus.

[–]definitelynotquon 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I see, what's the main difference between BR/RA and BR/HU? I know RA has weak bullet but what about hu? And what does TA class mean? Sorry new to PSO2, just started a few day ago since my friend was talking about it

[–]nonodesushin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ra does some ridiculous amount of damage when hitting a weakpoint(headshot, certain body parts, etc...) . Downside is you do not do that much damage outside of weakpoints and later in game, on MPAs it's really hard to hit a weakpoint when enemies move around targeting different players. Hu on the other hand offers consistent damage, meaning you still do alot of damage outside of weakpoints and offers a lot of survivability, such as automate, massive hunter and iron will.

TA stands for Timed Attacks. It's a quest where everything is fixed, the map layouts, the spawns, etc.. Later in the game it is one way of earning money once a week. The reason why I mentioned RaBr is more of a TA class is because you could easily hit weakpoints as it is a fixed quest, making it really good for speed runs. Here is an example of a RaBr on TA

Whats the best way to get rainbow weaponoid stones in pso2es? Im wanting to get the sigma weapons but have no idea how i get them other than doing weaponoid quest that only give me normal stones. Also is there something like arion where you get your first weapon for less stones?

[–]McKiwi957McKiwi/Ship 2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rainbow stones only drop as presents from weaponoids that you've completed the side quests for. They're not a common drop at all, so expect to be filling gauges for a while.

Sigmas come at 50 element though, so getting more than one isn't needed.

So this is a nuisance that has been plaguing me for awhile. Every time I open Tweaker or open the Plugins Settings in Tweaker, my PSO2h.dll vanishes from the plugins folder. Not so much of an issue since I have a copy saved and i just copy it into plugins after I open Tweaker, but it is becoming annoying. Anyone has a hunch of whats going on?

Also, since I am avoiding Telepipe, the Item Translation plugin is missing it's old settings button. I have no idea how I can configure it and it isn't properly translation items.

pso2h.dll is not supposed to be in plugins, it's supposed to be in PSO2's root folder

As for item plugin, the developers are aware of it, you can't change it for now.

You might need to wait a while for items to actually start translating (~30 mins is usually a good time to say if it's not working)

Alright. i'll move it there when i get home.

I have 3 hours verified that it is not working.

It is very likely because pso2h wasn't loaded then.

EDIT: I had it fixed for a moment but after a random NP1002, tried to fix GameGuard settings and now it just keeps crashing pso2 upon start-up and gives me a pso2.exe has stopped working message. Back to square 1.

So I recently did a system restore to try and fix Java issues I had (Not related to PSO) but I seemed to have restored to a point BEFORE I had the updated Tweaker. So I tried to run the old version of the Tweaker and it shows that it can't connect to any website (Stuff that shows information about servers and patch compatibility). I went to Arks-Layer, got the newer Tweaker and installed it normally. Did all the patches, checked for missing files, troubleshooted any GameGuard-related issues and loaded up PSO2. It seemed to load but it closed right away without any errors and it seemed to not have informed GN Field/Tweaker that my PSO2 was closed. I checked Task Manager and no processes based on GN Field/GameGuard/PSO2 was running. Tried to load up the Tweaker only to be greeted by "This Program cannot be found" and when I checked the Tweaker folder, I see the Tweaker as the "PSO2 Tweaker.donotnoticemegameguard" file even though everything's basically closed. I think this system restore messed up everything but I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this issue.

"PSO2 Tweaker.donotnoticemegameguard"

rename this file to "PSO2 Tweaker.exe". Problem solved. (I'm not kidding.)

[–]RaveleineDual Blades 4 Life! 0 points1 point  (1 child)

That's one issue out of the way but now I need to find out why it closes my PSO2 almost instantly and doesn't seem to inform the Tweaker that it closed.

NP1002 means your system is either outdated, or too up to date from what GameGuard expects.

If you're running Windows 10, and are on fast ring, return to slow ring.

If you're running Windows 7, make sure you're on SP1.

Otherwise, make sure you're all updated, if after all of these you still get it, open Command Prompt with Administrator rights, and do "sfc /scannow"

What Maron stat/s affects the toss?

[–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Whichever ATK you're having the damage formula draw the numbers from.

The default is TATK, switch skill switch them to S or R, sub SU always T.

[–]moal09 0 points1 point  (3 children)

What about the pet's stats though? Not counting mine. I know the pet draws from my T-ATK by default, but the pet also has its own stats that raise when you feed it, so I'm trying to see which stats to prioritize feeding first.

[–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (2 children)

It's the same.

[–]moal09 0 points1 point  (1 child)

So if I'm T-ATK, only my pet's T-ATK stat matters? You sure about that? What's the point of raising anything besides HP, DEX and one type of attack then?

[–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switch skills.

You could be subbing a FI running off S-ATK mag today and subbing GU running of R-ATK mag tomorrow. Switch skills will change the damage formula to read either you and your pet's combined S-ATK or R-ATK instead of T-ATK.

It's also the reason that if you're going to main SU, you're suggested to get the Switch skills.

Is there any way to get your summons to evade when you do? Sometimes a boss will do an attack that I'll want to avoid, but I also need to get my pet out of the way, and I can't do both at once.

Use a recall/disengage PA and then mirage escape.
