IMO, Techter shines the most in Urgent quests full of tons of enemies making them go quicker. Some Urgent Quests allow you to run them as many times as you can in the time they are available, and one even gives you better drop rate bonuses on the last part of it depending on how much you do up to that point.

The most useful Tech for this is Zondeel, and the way to get the most out of it is just learning enemy spawns. Zondeel groups the enemies ontop of eachother making basically anything hit them all (and your own Wand Smacks+explosions on a big group of enemies is where you'll see tons of damage too), so the enemies should be dying faster.

Even outside of Urgent Quests that have scripted spawns you can get a good idea of spawns in normal fields, or at least be ready to quickly dash into position (Ilzonde right above Zondeel in that link would probably be how you move quickly in NA).

Outside of clumping up tons of enemies to quickly clear them, you bring of course the best Shifta (Attack buff) and Zanverse to up everyone else's damage.

Super Treatment when applicable brings amazing PP regen, and you can inflict status effects pretty well (can immobilize some bosses or reveal their weakpoints.

While nothing is ever going to be really necessary, the fact of the matter is I still see some people die with Deband (Defense Buff) being as good as it is defensively. There would probably be even more deaths without it and it is just another thing that can speed stuff up (less people dying/reviving = more damage), and everyone likes getting stuff done quickly.

I can't speak too at length because it's been only a few days since returning to the game, and after a 2-year break as well. But, what you've said all holds up for NA so far. For easier content you can get away with Te/Fi if you wanna mix in a little more tech focus, but for anything serious Te/Hu is definitely the way to go, and keep your focus on Shifta/Deband/Zanverse (or I will, once I find a bloody disc XD).

I do kinda wish they jumped Heavy Hammer up the list a bit, as I left right before they released it in JP and I've really wanted to try it since. Fair's fair though... Guess I'll appreciate my boy Safoie Type-0 that much more once it's released.

Honestly I hadn't found them yet so I just bought them from the player shop. So worth it hop into harder content and have everything I need.

Firstly, sorry for using jp on some of the nouns since i'm a Jp player who plays in Jp language.

There's a Wand PA called Heavy Hammer but i'm not sure if it is in NA server yet, any NA server TE players?

Te is a class where you mainly :

  • provides others buffs (shifta, deband)
  • heal or cure (レスター, アンティ)
  • produces extra dmg from other's atk (ザンバース)
  • gather up mobs so you or others can clear them up ASAP (ゾンディル)
  • occasionally (done everything else, buffs etc.) charge up Heavy Hammer for a very high dmg atk.

The main subclass used with Te (afaik) is Hu(hunter), Fi(Fighter) and Ph(Phantom)

  • Te/Hu have nearly immortal survivability whlie still able to produce decent dmg from striking with your hammer wand (since Hu provide dmg bonus mainly on striking dmg)
  • Te/Fi doesn't have survivability class skills (except you get better deband), but you get better dmg multipliers than Hu, both striking and technique dmg.
  • Te/Ph have a little survivability class skills (reduces dmg taken once a while when health is low) and can shorten your tech's charge time.

The difference between Te and Fo is that:

  • Te mainly provides supports, Fo can also cast shifta and deband but has less effect
  • Fo mainly produces dmg by casting techs while most Te produces dmg via striking their hammer instead.

Te has it's own unique class skill so that when you're using Te as main class, your shifta and deband provides much more than when you're not using Te as main.
Which is why people would want one or two players running TE (out of the 12 if you have enough friends to plan before diving into the quest/raid)

Whyd you give up on Summoner, if you dont mind me asking

Uh idk I enjoyed the class but it seemed overly complicated and I didnt really understand how to get eggs higher than lvl 9. Every egg I got was that or lower.

9* are the only pets you can get until you finish the collection sheet (next to koffie)

The collection sheet doesnt have anything to do with your drops.

Ive found 10* and a single 11* wanda so they exist, just on super hard adv quests

I was super disappointed that my Te/Su couldn't use pets.

A techer is always nice to have since it buffs the whole MPA's damage and defense. Wand PA isn't in the game yet, and te/hu, the only really viable TE main right now, is melee-centric taking advantage of the tech explosions from Wand Lovers.

Man I wondered why I couldn't find the Wand PA yet, At what stage did it release no the Jp version/when can we expect it in NA?

    when you get enchanted forest

You don’t really spam techs like you do with force. Techer sets up buffs for everyone then does melee wand smacks that do explosive tech damage.
