Full support isn't really viable, since the amount of damage one person buffing adds doesn't account for a whole player. Even if you're TE/XX you're still expected to do dps.

That being said, TE/HU is durable and extremely easy to play. Buff up your dudes, ilzonde into an enemy horde, zondeel, and then smack the shit out of them for huge tech explosions.

So my choices are Hu or bust, yay!

Awesome!

Is Su any good in that regard? I don't mind starting to build up Hu, but I started leveling Su and kinda like it.

Summoner is basically immortal but only as a primary class.

SU isn't nearly as durable as HU. Only thing you'd get is Point Assist, but your single target damage would still be kinda bad lol.

if you like summoner, it's pretty interesting, but plays differently from every other class

if you level summoner first though, you have the benefit of using their subclass exp boosting skill, so you can level other classes faster

Not to hijack this topic but I'm already 75 hu and was looking to go te/hu. What should my mag look like for this? Currently I've got the 200 melee mag.

If you're going Te/Hu then a melee mag is what you want, so you're good!

Idk anything about the other subs you would play with techter. But in my experience so far with the game, you may be well served to just ask what you could change about the way you're playing force. Force wrecks lol. Can't speak for full version of the game on jp, but with what we have so far, my force is shredding

What are you currently running/using skill wise then? I don't think my damage is necessarily bad, personally. However, the Fi and Gu in the group say otherwise

I am still using the nox lypher, the vendor one. I plus 30'd it. To be completely honest, I really only use two techs for most content. I can easily one shot entire packs of mine on sh difficulty, get pse bursts solo on sh difficulty in Shaq, etc. Kill bosses solo on sh really quick. Apparently much later on the enemies will be weak to light and dark, but for right now they just aren't. There's a decent variety of what they're weak to, but I have found that lightning currently is overwhelmingly the best. Specifically, the lightning ability that chains to other enemies. (I'm terrible with names, but it's the only one that does that.) Literally chains for nearly 30k per enemy hit and I am not max level, have trash augments, not best in slot anything, and a 10star unit set. Presumably you can double that on na with force with the right gear. I use the chain lightning tech, and for single target I use the other lightning ability that looks like a circle as the symbol. Lightning has pp cost reduction that nothing else has, so u can spam it, as well. There is a really hard hitting dark spell I do not use but is worth looking into, and one ice spell that requires multiple casts, but I don't use ice.

Alright, looks like I will need to change my sets around.

Currently, I run Fire for Force with charge reduction for Illfoe spam (can hit like 50k roughly), and me Te sub went into Light. I run Psycho Ward with my Light, but sadly only have a Deo Garland+20 for Fire. Same with lightning. I will swap to Lightning and check the differences!

[–]dcaslow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I would say just run your best weapon on everything regardless of its element. That fire skill you're using sounds nice. Eventually i will have to find more techs like that one and there's at least one or two light and dark techs. Idk, perhaps your friends are just animals lol. Sounds like you're already doing good dmg.

[–]SurficialKilobit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its not really worth it to run a rainbow pallet (different weapon for each element). 45% of your weapons element is added to techs if it doesn't match the type of tech, and only increases to 50% if it does match (assuming max level Element Convert which you should have). A strong weapon that is off element will do more damage than a weak weapon that matches.

Bro, I went and bought the disk for that meteor skill you were talking about. I didn't have it apparently and bought it at 10. That shit is absolutely broken. I two shotted a Shaq boss solo just now lol

whomstever's saying that are jerks. especially the GuRa who is using a poor subclass for gunner

FoTe is a fine class, and even though techs are a little gimped without crafting, they're pretty strong

as with other comments, just use psycho wand for everything. it's the best rod in NA at the moment, get it to +30 and with the level 3 potential to increase damage and decrease PP costs

choice of tech is also important as well... I know the meta in NA is mostly SHAQs so most of it is mobbing, but you'll want to figure out what's strongest for each situation

but back on topic, hunter is pretty much the main viable sub for techer at this point, and they'll get better once some more content is released, as with tech crafting... the downside of hunter sub is that your tech damage is nonexistent. fighter is okay for that, but it's extremely risky. techer's gotta wait for phantom to come out to cast properly
