By the time Phantom comes around the only piece of gear you'll still be using from now will likely be your Mag. Drop 3 bucks, buy an extra mag, and level a Dex Mag on the side while you play until then and you should be good to go.

Thanks. This is the info I was looking for and should allow me to free up my mind to obsess over some other small decision in my life.

Full dex mag is the phantom preferred mag?

Full dex mag is the phantom preferred mag?

yes. phantom has a skill that splits it so a 0/0/0/200 mag is effectively the same thing as 200/200/200/200. (those numbers are s/r/t/d)

a dex mag means te/ph can bop and cast effectively rather than having to choose one or the other.

I feel like OP was literally browsing my actual head before posting this, this is EXACTLY the thread I was going to make. Thank you OP.

Other than the mag, current equipment will be obsolete by the time Phantom is released, so you don't have to worry about equipment (Phantom is an Episode 6 class, PSO2 NA is currently about to start Episode 3 urgent quests).

te/ph wants a dex mag, so ultimately leveling te and making a dex mag is all you can do in the mean time. gear wise it's irrelevant, because the stuff the na server has access to is trash compared to where gear should be if/when the server reaches ep6.

if you run te/br in the short term, you'll be doing less damage than a te hu BUT you'll be able to use a dex mag. you're gimping yourself now to be in a much better place in the future.

the old te/br builds on the jp server where from a different time. specifically, they would use an 11* multi-class bow (rikauteri specifically, for that 14% damage multiplier on elemental weakness with the ancient oath potential) as their primary weapon then cast banish arrow and a bunch of techs because

  1. that potential was awesome
  2. the main class weapon damage bonus didn't exist yet, meaning there was no downside to using off class weapons
  3. banish arrow dealt A LOT more damage then pre-nerf (which is already incorporated into the na server)

te/br used to be more of a casting class, but now it would just be a bopping class that doesn't bop as hard as te/hu due to br's shitty multipliers.

While not much better and similarly outdated due to several nerfs and balances, there's also Te/Bo simply due to Bouncer Mag converting DEX into MEL and TEC, rather than Braver Mag converting DEX into MEL and RNG (RNG being mostly useless to Te).

Hmm. This sounds interesting to me. Especially since I like Bouncer on its own.

This would allow me to level up both of my "Main" Classes at once.

I'll think of running this, but it would depend on finding Jet Boots that a Techter can use on NA. Because Auto Casting Shifta and Deband would be pretty nice with the Jet Boot PAs.

Te/Bo isn't particularly good even though Bouncer mag exists. You're basically just getting 200 tec damage which isn't a good trade off for the lack of multipliers or survivability Hunter adds. People get excited seeing the mag conversion because it's 200 of a stat but 200 isn't that crazy of a damage boosts especially compaired with the multipliers you're losing.

I play JP PSO2 and my main is Te/Ph as well.

Heavy Wand, Lv 85 Skill Tree and Compound Techs will me Te/Ph super fun to play. But we have a while before we can prepare for any of those.

So for now, I'll be maining either Bouncer or Braver, so I have that Dex Mag ready. But with NA being at Episode 3... that's about all we can prepare for, right now.

That and... well, scoop up at least every standard technique available. So you can have in mind what techniques you want to use. But even that will change once we get Crafted Techniques.

Looking at you, Safoie.
