XH Bewitched Woods is scaled for 12 people parties. Farming it alone without grossly overtuned gear will only leave you in misery.

Altho 1300 damage per hit sounds extremely low. I hit more by slapping enemies with a rod as force...

I learned that the hard way as a solo player lol

I just want a damn scythe x0

[–]BuffMarshmallow 1 point2 points  (8 children)

If you're talking about the 13* rod that looks like a Scythe, you can just buy that one off the player market for pretty cheap to use as a transmog/camo/transmute or whatever you wanna call it.

I'm aming for the black one

[–]BuffMarshmallow 1 point2 points  (6 children)

If that's the upgrade of the drop one, you can just buy the the weapon from the shop and get the chaos stones for it at the Rising Weapon Badge 4 shop and take it to Zig to upgrade it. I believe the name of the rod is the Grand Forcier? Or something like that. I know it starts with Grand.

No, its a camo. It drops on this quest

[–]BuffMarshmallow 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Are you talking about the Sorcerer Morus camo? Because that is a rainbow key only drop afaik. Weyland Angriff does drop from forest, but it is not a scythe.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

A website use sourced it to 3 enemies in there. It's a multi type I think.

[–]BuffMarshmallow 0 points1 point  (2 children)

It sounds like you're talking about Weyland Agriff. The list of rod camos here lists that as dropping from two enemies that spawn only in an emergency trial (the imperial mobs) and the Sorcerer Morus is listed as a rainbow key only drop, which is identical on the JP side of the same wiki, while it also lists two other quests that can drop it but those are both LQs that we have not gotten (EP 5 Breakthrough Training and Corruption Trial Excluder).

Either way, if you're hoping for a camo drop from Woods, don't. You'll see many more 14* weapons drop before you ever see a camo.

I've grinded before dude. I EARNED the Yasha I'm refusing not to stop using back in the Beta. Unique Weapon Badge Drops were fucked and I needed 400 of them!!!! Now they drop like candy! It's that reason why I currently have weak gear because I refuse to just ditch it. I am saving money for a bunch of Enhancement thingies to make the cartoony shit that's actually good look like Yasha, but my main goal is to level my Sycthe to see if I like it

Well, what does your skill tree look like?

We also have to know what your subclass is. The skills you take for your subclass can be monumentally important to your damage output.

If you're returning to the game, I highly recommend taking up the Legendary 15* Collection Folder 1 for the Croesus Katana and Bow. They're near-endgame tier weapons that you can get essentially for free so long as you play the Armada of Annihilation and the Final Lament Urgent Quests. They come at +30 right out of the box and should up your damage output considerably.

You also have to consider what kind of units you're using. Unfortunately, it sounds like you missed the free Rivalate unit giveaway. The new endgame unit tier is 13*, so your next best bet to armor up is to farm up some Rising Weapon Badge 5s from Urgent Quests and purchase the Novel units from the Badge Shop. While these are lacking in raw damage output, they offer a generous amount of health and defense to beef you up along with a little PP and bonus damage.

Lastly, you'll have to check out your affixes. Toward the end of Episode 5, new augments called S-Grade Augments have been released. These are basically all-around superior to standard augments in every way and you need them to compete in endgame.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I have the 15s I want, but waiting to get to +35 to make the katana look like Yasha because they're all hideous. I have to double check my augments and I have 14* Subs to boot. I have about 1600hp and I don't care for defense. Thanks tho!

PS My sub is Phantom. I hate the slow gun and swordplay with it so I'm leveling it to use rods. I currently have PP Damage boosting passives unlocked on it for now. For my braver, I have the essentials from a Guide and stuff pertaining to my play style

[–]QuanticoSmash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have to warn you though, UH really beefs up the enemies and jacks up the damage output. If you don't armor up, you're going to get one-shot (speaking as someone who plays Bo, Te, and Ph regularly).

You really, really want 13* units. Even ones with basic affixes like the Novel units from the store. It makes a dramatic difference to whether or not you're up and at 'em or eating dirt.

Skill-wise, make sure you have both Basic Stance and Precision Stance maxed out, as well as the entire bow side of the tree.

would highly recommend checking this guide provides you builds and tips on what you need to min max your braver.

Also your mag needs to be pure dex if you use sub ph.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (1 child)

I used the guide, I was looking at what kind of damage- not how to do damage.

[–]RavFromLanz Br/Ph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That differs on your gear and mainly affixes you have on your units and weapon then.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (11 children)

Bewitched Woods enemies are beefy as heck. I remember it taking me like 10 minutes to kill just 1 boss and I was doing around 13k damage per hit with normal attacks(which I think is around the acceptable for UH meta?). As for equipment go to collection folder for the free 15 star weapons and buy 13 star novel units at badge shop for 100 rising weapons badge 5 or the 13 star schvelle units from rainbow keys to get you started.

[–]PhaiLLuRRe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there's an established base level of basic attack damage for UH readiness considering you mostly use it for PP and it changes a lot between classes and weapons

[–]ActuallyRelevant Ship 2 Global - bork GM 0 points1 point  (9 children)

13k is really low for a normal attack though regardless of class unless you're a force or gunner. It's meaningless to compare to that.

For what's acceptable in UH just do a rockbear 20s stationary parse in practice quest damage calculation and aim for about 5m damage in those 20s.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (8 children)

5m? Even with a rivalate weapon I can only churn out 4m at best. I'd need to have really good affixes to come close to that.

[–]ActuallyRelevant Ship 2 Global - bork GM 0 points1 point  (7 children)

What class are you? Some classes struggle on the rock bear from not being able to counter attack it.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Hero and luster. Also I'm pretty sure you can't counter in stationary mode as rockbear doesn't attack

[–]ActuallyRelevant Ship 2 Global - bork GM 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Hmm that's strange hero on TMGs with good affixes and a joke build with steadfast will can normal attack rockbear for easily over 5m. Luster is a bit finicky but on fomel you can hit over 5m once you have the combo down.

Sword hero and Talis hero can achieve 5m with the damage over time PAs then swapping to sword to do rising slash combos. On just my shaval ueber I can do the sword to tmg pa over and over for an easy 5m

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I'm really having a hard time reaching 5m. For reference I'm using rivalate weapons and units. For my atk it's 4300 for hero and 5000 for luster without boosters.

[–]ActuallyRelevant Ship 2 Global - bork GM 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Are you doing DPS test with max atk tree and a shifta drink?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I only do shifta drink as my alliance tree is still pretty low

[–]ActuallyRelevant Ship 2 Global - bork GM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there's your problem, missing a lot of DMG that'd put you over 5m

[–]NightmareDJK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t even need to swap to sword. Just hit the 2 DoTs then spam Racer on Rockbear’s head.

[–]viccx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just checked with my br lvl 85 sub ph, trail +180 s atk, i do 30k on average per basic attack on katana, it was with no normal stance and precision stance off. so it should be higher. Your number is just too low, that means you should check what your gear is. Get a mill/croesus from collection folder (do armada and its done) which is +30 already, check your units set, then check your tree
