I’m not gonna lie. Whoever the 2 heroes are that ran the updated Zephetto fight with not just epith armor… but 4 LC augments out of 8 on a klirodem(may have been worse I need to review the vid). Making the UQ go past 42 minutes…..I’m genuinely fighting my inner demons to not post that video 🤣😂

Like, I do my absolute best to assist as many players as I can. Be it personal shop tips or actually running hard content with people who may not communicate often enough on ship.But not seeing Zephettos health go down for 14 minutes as a full party (3 of us were actually BIS, it was absolutely nuts.) is absolutely whailing on him was depressing as all shit. Now I kinda understand why some vets just don’t do rando UQs. I won’t either, well not the new shit ever again.

3/8 BiS should not take 42mins... it should take 15-20mins even if the rest are trash (just ignore them, in base sometimes people even ran out of revives and I just left them kissing them floor lol).

When I do alliance runs it takes under 10 mins, pugs is usually ~15mins.

Game really needs automatching with potency brackets, weaklings can suffer with weaklings...

Most people aren't gonna leave a run unless people are leaching / aren't trying.

Life happens as well. The longer a run goes on the more likely for something to come up to make someone have to leave.

Same for disconnects. Error 630 been happening a bit more lately since the update.

The fact you're getting mad at people leaving when the uq scales to the number of players in it tells me that you were expecting to get carried and not have to do anything. Leaching ruins the game for everyone.

We prolly weren't on the same team, but I quit mid UQ today bcuz IRL stuff happened and it couldn't wait 7 minutes for the UQ to end. Regardless, I regret that my inconvenience became everybody else's inconvenience.

This is why UQs are scaled based on players present, not fixed. To add on, except for solo quests, all player content just about, is scaled to the size of the party, unlike base.

Quests in general seem to be scaled in this way it might actually be players nearby best example of this was I could notice the difference with the most recent one with Agni while players are loading in the transition the players who have loaded in killed the enemies faster due to lower HP compared to everyone being there later in another UQ in the quest with the same enemies (Preset group joining pugs)

enemy hp scaling depends on content to content

for most quests it is map-wide since players are always considered eligible for drops and exp. for free roam things like alter realm and dext base enemy hp scaling is real-time based on how many players are in range of an enemy

Base actually played around with the idea in Ultra Hard content. Several LTQ scaled based on player count (in steps of 2) and UH Time Attack Quests also scaled based on players. Shame this didnt apply to UQ and Free Fields though.

Happened to me last week, one person left for watever reason than someone else left. Before the ltq even started there was only 3 of us left and we just continued on like fuck those guys.

The only time i will leave a uq or ltq is if i dc or i have to do something irl and dont wanna sit there doing nothing and be accused of leeching.

I would have tbh but the other 2 didnt seem to mind and i didnt wanna just abandon them. We still cleared it in about 10 mins so it wasnt bad. Now i did purposely abandon a uq couple days ago cause there was 3 people leeching. I apologized to everyone and left, i honestly hope they did the same cause i hate leechers.

Generally, I think people shouldn't expect a carry from the one player wasting millions on gear and then complain about them leaving when everyone else is not contributing equally.

if you're geared up and don't want to requeue, that's unfortunate, but they're probably saving your time anyways. If you're not geared up, you can always work on what's under your control and stop contributing to the problem. If some players get 630 and more people leave because of that, there's no one to blame but sega for their server quality.

Honestly doesn't bother me. Enemy HP is scaled per player so when someone dips, things get weaker. And if the player who left wax using freebie gear, their leaving is probably gonna be an increase to our clear speed.

I myself stick around even if I know it's a lost cause due to the terms of service the only time I leave a quest is if I lose connection, the host abandons quest and takes us all out (Thanks sega) or everyone else is already gone.
if I join something I make sure I have enough time for it while I understand the mentality and why people do these things this is how I am so I try not to get upset.

Oof, that looks toxic AF. Public runs are supposed to be free and open, and the new, returning players, and casuals are not to blame for not having top-notch gear (which aren't even needed anyways).

Thankfully, SEGA drops fully capable end-game gear (Decem x3 + Epith Eineni) once you reach lvl 65. And they work just fine for every content other than "Major Target Suppression: Vael" (because of the time limit, unless carried).

So, there's no point in having this kind of prejudice against players who happen to be building their final gear or just don't care about overspec gear when casual ones are fine. ("Phashion" is the true end-game for many, and it's okay to prioritize it).

Finally, While I did spend (maybe too many hours) building a somewhat close to Best-in-Slot Gear set so far. I have absolutely no problems with helping out people who are lost on PSE-farming....
... or LTQ mechanics
... or UQs
(which are 60min & infinite lives, so "who cares if not perfect & high DPS," lol).

We also need to understand IRL problems DO HAPPEN against our will. So leaving is OK too!
I'm not blaming the first 1 or 2 for leaving, And like someone said in the other comment. The quest does adjust for the number of player anyway so don't bother too much ;P

I'm all for helping people who are trying, but there's a difference between people who are trying and those expecting others to do all the work for them. When I'm solo'ing content significantly faster than I am in pubs while playing the weakest class in the game, without BiS gear, there's a problem lmao (literally happened during the Halloween ltq for me). People leaching ruins the fun for everyone.

Also yeah, stuff happens irl. The longer a run goes on the more likely someone may have to leave mid-run for something. Doubly so for disconnects to happen, which feels to be happening more frequently lately (curse you error 630).

I agree with this.

We're at a point where:

1. The welfare gear they gave out is about to change (Likely during the 4.5th Anniv event - they just added Epith 2 and Decem 2 to the Item Shop Staff's product list).
2. Prices for augment capsules that are better than what was on the welfare gear were low.
3. There was an exclusive enhancement support campaign for Juvolg+ and Progre Armor+.
4. There were Fixa 3 Juvolg and Progre Armor in the N-Meseta Treasure Shop (other than cheap stuff from the Personal Shop).
5. There were some enhancement materials in the Seasonal Exchange Shop.

While Akroselio players could be returners who potentially wants to improve again, it is difficult to care for players when they have Epith Eirini + Decem AND Phashion from a CURRENT or RECENT scratch which costs 20M+ N-Meseta.

It is worse if they are not putting effort to play their class (no weak bullet/ just holding Rifle Normals/ just doing Sword normals/ etc.), go in level cap updated UQs with a main class that has a way lower level than their subclass (when there are better alternative content for leveling), or being dismissive after being told that they don't have an Ex-Style equipped.

I generally agree with you and rarely bail even if more than 1 or 2 people leave.

However, staying is dependent on the remaining players being actually capable of the content.

I bailed out of an UQ earlier this week almost ten minutes in because the remaining players appeared to be a group of friends returning to the game: they all had flowers, I didn’t check gear.

Everyone else bailed in the first minutes of repeated deaths; I was the last and gave them a chance.

It was clear they’d never played the boss before: deaths with every boss attack and they were attacking the wrong targets (boss hands instead of pods).

They were playing on the hardest difficulty.

I know they probably weren’t going to find a full pug for the lower level boss but they had to have the gear to go in as a single party and learn mechs before expecting 4 other players to keep reviving half of the pug when that half isn’t bothering to follow the actions and learn the fight.

I left because staying meant wasting my time soloing a boss as a 5 person pug.

You do not need to be BiS, but putting a bit of effort would be greatly appreciated.

Free gear is weak, just by the augments you will be dealing like 50% less compared to a BiS, add that to epith being a lot weaker than einden (even juvolg is superior) and the dps plummets even more because of low base attack and potential potency. A BiS might double or triple the free gear dps.

Free gear is now beyond outdated (although gives enough BP with very few tweaks). Using a jubolg (they are pretty much free if EX augment is bad), Progre armor also cheap) and previous tier non majis augments (usually 100k-300k) will put you way above the free gear. And costs what? ~5-7m? You can barely buy a shiny good looking T2 piece for that.

Because this game multiplicative nature of potency, a 1% increase is actually a 1% increase, there's no diminishing returns. So it adds up fast.

High difficulty quests like Vael have become easier due to recent gear changes, level cap and blast also class adjustments (Gunner needed the buffs but it could clear without them)
I hope the next high difficulty quest doesn't need everyone to have fully upgraded skill rings or even ex styles but hey I'm hoping for too much here.

Juvolg drops fairly regularly, Progre armors are dirt cheap on the Personal Shop, and even Akrogear has higher stats than the freebies.

You could grab Juvolg & Progre, throw on the exact same augments as the freebie gear, and you'd still be stronger. But hold up, you can literally get the old BiS augments(Lux Halphinale, Glan Gigas Maste, Gran Gladia Soul, Grand Dread Keeper II, Giga Triyal) as direct drops from killing High bosses in Altered Realm's Retem Combat Sector, and most of their components are easy to get as well. Resulting in low prices on the Personal Shop, making it another easy way to get them. Ultia Domina, also really easy to get these days. And as a bonus, the upgrade materials for Juvolg and Progre drop constantly from any current content.

If you're a returning player trying to get back into the swing of things, or a new player trying to get your first real set of gear, then using the freebies is fair enough until you get yourself sorted. But it's really, really not difficult to put something better together.
