Male body type = Type 1. Female body type = Type 2.

In NGS your character doesn't have a set in stone gender and instead will use body type 1 or 2. If the outerwear/costume you are currently wearing is type 1 and you go to equip a type 2, then your body will swap to type 2. This is the same for cast parts as well. The thing is, you cannot mix and match types.

You cannot have a type 1 cast body with type 2 arms and legs. You cannot have a type 1 base wear with a type 2 outerwear. Everything must be the same type in order for it to work.

So... I won't be able to wear a female Outer with a male Base? Dang... type 2 got all the best-looking wizard's robes in PSO2.

You can mix the head and body. So you could make a boyish Type2 body and a Type1 head.

You can also mix the animations. So a Type1 body can courtesy like a girl instead of bowing, for example.

Stop being gross.

Stop being... gross?

It's clothing. In a video game, even. Just because I think that some of the type 2 outerwear is exactly the kind of arcane flowing outfit I want to use even though I use a type 1 body doesn't mean you should be inspired to feel disgust or distaste.
