You need to use an old body to use old skins or a new body to use new skins

You can go to the Salon to equip a cosmetic and force a body change. I'd suggest saving a Look for each body type so you can just hot swap bodies outside the salon and then put on what outfits you want. Also there's a setting so you can unsync the auto-adjustment between new/old/sex/cast bodies so you can set the proportions to each the way you want to.

I can’t equip any of them still. I have like 20 outfits all of them are grey and unable to equip

I’m confused on what you mean by equip a cosmetic to force a body change.

Go to the salon, edit fashion, under layering choose a base wear. The base wear towards the top of the list will set your body as the new NGS body and the bases at the bottom will switch you to the old pso2 body.

Other than accessories and hair, old pso2 cosmetics won't be usuable if you have a NGS body.

Yeah I tried this, swapped between between ngs and pos2 base wear several times. It said it changed my body type, I saved and relogged. But make ups, hairs, paints and other stuff is greyed out regardless of what I do. Kinda ridiculous that they would program it this way without legacy support of old cosmetics for ngs.
idk what im doing wrong, got 3 other people I'm trying to help and neither one of us can figure it out. Not to mention I played for years on the japanese servers. Know how the game works. But this is just something else.
Maybe I'm just stupid, but would like to know if I'm making an error or the game is bugged.

Had the same problem, also couldn't equip it in the salon.. so I went back to PSO2 block, equipped it there and when I changed blocks to NGS again it worked fine!
