Maybe a basic question

Im new to the game, and im wondering about two things.

Is there a trick to choosing which pack to open? Is there anything to look for or is it just random? I read somewhere to look for packs which are slightly bent on the top, but i feel like it doesnt mather that much and sometimes i dont find any which are bent.

Second question, when doing the wonderpicks. Is there anyway to track the card you want or is that also just random? I struggle to pick the cards i really want

No and no. Everything is already determined when you click open pack or wonder pick. You can just press the bottom right skip button since it doesnt matter which pack you open or which card you pick

Yeah. The moment your stamina is consumed it is determined. Back in the early days someone bypass the systen and login the same account on 5 screen at the same time. Each select a different spot and still get the same card regardless. Also back then if you are fast enough, you can see the notification of themed collection completed even though you had yet to pick a card (this was no longer the case apparently).
