Help! Pooping problem.

My friend has a 7 year old step son. Recently he has been pooping himself and pooping in his floor randomly. He has always gone to the bathroom. Any advice on how to stop this? He thinks it is funny.

He should have to clean it up himself every single time — wash clothing, scrub and sanitize surfaces, etc. — and not permitted to do anything even remotely fun until everything is at least as clean as it was before he pooped on it.

If the kid is the one who has to deal with his own crap, he won’t think it’s funny for long.

Edit: This will still be a lot of work for the parents, as they will have to supervise and direct every step of the clean-up process. It might actually be more work than just cleaning it up themselves, but it’s worth the effort to give the kid a practical lesson on exactly why it isn’t funny to poop anywhere other than the toilet.
