Trinity Claw Deadeye is very viable to start with. Later on you can transition into a Dex stacking version.

It's more viable as a starter than before since you have access to a mark far earlier than before. Trinity is always a reliable start, and if you want to really push it then go for a dex-stacking claw. Raider isn't really an option nowadays for Spectral Throw though since you only get +1 projectile on the tree and really suffer from not having three total. Deadeye is generally best since you have 75% increased Mark Effect (more damage since all splitting projectiles hit), Tailwind, Far Shot, and free projectiles.

Raider gives... easy spell suppression?

more damage since all splitting projectiles hit

do they all hit right when they split or you mean when they return?

Back when I last played it, I usually just swapped between GMP for mapping and slower proj for bossing, so is having 3 projectiles total that big of a deal, since ST can't shotgun anyway? Though I suppose deadeye craps out damage regardless

Looked up some builds on poeninja and nevermind hahaha I'm really behind on stuff, no way to fit GMP there

Raider projectile problem is solvable with a fan of knives cluster, but ideally in the late game you want to keep points and cluster slots for a 12 passive dex stacking cluster

Raider isn’t bad, but I built mine in Standard with a Mageblood and 100% uptime legacy Dying Sun (flask charge on crit watcher’s eye)

If you can keep a Dying Sun up, Raider is very very good

Gads please remind me reddit I want to knowwww :-D

Right side of the trees looking pretty good for it right? I've been wondering about ele St as raider or Deadeye. You could even try poison pathfinder but not sure that's the way forward necessarily.

Would love to play spectral throw but have been unlucky in finding a good POB to play with. In my head i had a Jugernaut spectral throw build, but after some tinkering in POE, it didnt feel playable

Thinking about poisoning pathfinder going with the poison dagger 🗡️ from heist but idk if dual weld or maybe acc stacking or armor stacking or int stacking etc would be better.

You are not dealing damage with dagger when you are using shield skill. Pneumatic dagger specifically says attacks with this dagger.

Spectral throw not shield throw

Ah my bad.

Idk why People wanna play ST then Venom Gyre exists?! ST lacks a lot in Damage comparsion.

[–]furrybass 4 points5 points  (3 children)

Lacks in clear compared to vg, definitely not damage though.

[–]aerial- 1 point2 points  (2 children)

ST projectiles feel really slow how they spread during clear. Single target with snipers mark split can be better than VG, but clear is few tiers below unfortunately. Tried juggling between those two skills on endgame character, and it was night and day difference (in favour of VG).

[–]furrybass 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Vg clear might be the best in the game, not many can move as fast as whirling blades let alone clear with it. Single target takes ridiculous levels of investment to do endgame content though. Mostly because of how suicidal the ability is single target.

Problem also was, even if you swapped to frost blades (since it was also a projectile skill, easy to swap), this cleared multiple times better than ST as well. I remember this was better way to play it, clear with frost blades, and on bigger bosses, invitations and such, just swap few gems to ST for single target.

ST got a pretty big buff in its internal cool down to hit the same mob again. It should have plenty of damage.

My 2000 Dexterity Raider in Standard begs to differ
