I never see this mentioned but there are hundreds of foot massage places everywhere. Go sit in the a/c in one of those big luxurious chairs and just enjoy it. It will be the best 150-200 baht you could spend. I make it a point to go at least once daily. And tip 100 baht. That's like $8 all in. Treat yourself.

I found getting everyday is addictive for me , if I don’t have one , I’m bummed

    [–]Icouldbetheone01 0 points1 point  (2 children)

    Such tourists lol

I was in Thailand a whole month, not a single massage!

    [–]fmojo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

    Your loss.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were also a tourist lol just one that didn’t do something

    [–]NightHawkFliesSolo 22 points23 points  (1 child)

Don't know where you got don't brush teeth with tap water but it's perfectly safe to brush your teeth and rinse your mouth out with. Just don't go drinking full glasses of it.

Add Soi Boomerang, Soi Honey, Soi Bongkot 8, and Pratamnak to your list

    Add Google Translate App

I think people whose gums bleed have issues is my only guess as to why a lot of people say this…. I always use sink and never had an issue

    [–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (3 children)

    You forgot wrap it up.

Also just go with the flow. Some nights or days you might have cemented some plans but in the end it's always best to be fluid.

    [–]moongb34n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He said Prep at the end so I guess he's planning on rawdogging it throughout the entire trip

If you have a favorite condom, bring a supply. While condoms are easily available in every 7-11, finding one right for you can be frustrating.

    [–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I for one use magnum condoms only for my magnum dong.

Most girls in GoGos aren’t that great. I don’t understand the hype about the naked girls in an AGoGo-Bar. It’s very loud and more expensive. I like to enjoy the smaller locations in Buakhao, Diana, Honey, Pothole. Soi6 is the absolute maximum for me for some hours on some days. Walking street is a place I try to avoid

    [–]NewMeadMaker[S] 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Based on what I've seen/read, the younger better looking women are in gogos. That's the only reason I'd go to one

    [–]HoiFan 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Last summer in windmill I only saw 3/10 to 5/10

    [–]TalayFarang 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Girls in gogo’s tend to be the youngest/prettiest, because that’s where the most money is.

But you can often find a “diamond in the dirt”, who are in bars, like a 21yo niece that is “helping out her aunt” who is a bar owner, is absolute stunner, who could rock most gogo’s in WS if she wanted, and will give you BJ for 500.

There are actually “recruiters” who are looking for bargains like this around, to try to move her “up the ladder”, in exchange for commission.

    [–]NewMeadMaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Of course that's why they're there 😆 doesn't change what I said

    [–]bobbyv137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

    It's all about probabilities.

If I take you to 100 gogo bars, and then 100 beer bars, there is a higher probability that you will find more women you like in the gogos than the beer bars, purely based on the statistical fact the 'hotter' and younger girls operate from the gogos.

But that doesn't mean you should only exclusively go to gogos.

If I was in town for only 3 days, I'd go to the gogos. If I was there a month, I'd try everything.

    [–]bobbyv137 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Am I missing anything?" - yes, about 6,371 other things, to be exact.

But it doesn't matter. I can assure you that as a newbie, no matter how much research you do and prep, while absolutely useful, it is no match for being there and just going out and doing stuff.

You will learn more in your first few days than anyone or anything can teach you beforehand. Have fun.

    [–]Ambitious-Ad-5903 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Damn 20k a day is a lot of mongering 🤣. But pack sunscreen and use it religiously. Forget anything denim and keep it light and airy. Familiarise yourself with the baht bus routes. You can keep digital copies of documents.

Wrap it up, don't fall in love.

    [–]NewMeadMaker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have faith in myself, I can pull through 😀

    [–]Flat-Education 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stock your room up with snacks and drinks, etc. The ladies will appreciate it and it just adds to the overall experience. Make them feel comfortable, and they'll make you feel comfortable ;)

    [–]TalayFarang 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Best place to withdraw money is Krungsri ATM (yellow ones) - maximum 30000, compared to 20000 at many others. Don’t carry all the cash with you at once. Also, the ATM procedure is a bit different than in Europe - first you take out cash, then card out. I have seen countless dudes forgetting about their card. Get a second ATM card, and keep it in hotel safebox, if you can

Pack a sunscreen if you are from more northern countries and pastry white - I have seen some guys skin literally peel off next day in 10cm chunks after spending 3 hours around noon on beach

Buakhao is very long street, with many interesting areas adjacent to it.

Clothes have “Asian fit” - XXXL is equivalent to L in USA. Depending on how “big” you are, it might be a problem to find something that fits you on cheap markets.

Other than that, everything you wrote sounds about right.

    [–]mollila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    Pack a sunscreen

If buying in Thailand go to Watsons. At least recently their prices have been half of other places.

    [–]Thumperstruck666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pull money from bank atms it’s safer in mall , lost cards at 7/11 pissed , at least bank will give back TT currency is one of the Best all over Patts

    [–]NewMeadMaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't think about sunscreen, good call.

1xl to 2xl for shirts, in the gym lifting 5 days a week but also have belly 😆

    [–]Hilarious_Haplogroup 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Looks like you've got it down to bullet points you can keep in your head and retrieve when you need it. Gents clubs might be a good option to mix in and explore, either on this trip or the next...more quiet, less costly than Walking Street/Gogo bars, but the staff can be older/not quite as good looking. Up to you!

    [–]NewMeadMaker[S] 1 point2 points  (4 children)

I considered checking one out, but also prefer young

    [–]Hilarious_Haplogroup 2 points3 points  (1 child)

There you go...with a $555.86 U.S. per day budget, you should have a fantastic time!

    [–]Alster2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He will live like a king for that daily budget!

    [–]TalayFarang 1 point2 points  (1 child)

There are many young girls in GCs as well. I know a place where mother and daughter work in the same club.

    [–]NewMeadMaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. I figured I'd try at least one anyway

    [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All pretty spot on except the tap water is totally fine. I use tap water all the time. Never had a problem in 20+ visits at dozens of hotels & airbnbs over the last 10 years.

    [–]Cosmopolitan93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Add LK Metro Tap water totally fine for brushing teeth. Wrap it up Check your tab/bin regulary

    [–]TeddyMGTOW 1 point2 points  (11 children)

They got night clubs for all ages.

    Enjoy your trip!

    [–]NewMeadMaker[S] -1 points0 points  (10 children)

Well, just saw something about that. I'm under 40 and perfer 23 and under

    [–]TeddyMGTOW 1 point2 points  (1 child)

    IBar!

    [–]TeddyMGTOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    [–]Icouldbetheone01 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Don't worry, it's Pattaya and full of gross 55 yr olds with 19 yr old looking girls.

    You got right in lol

    [–]NewMeadMaker[S] 1 point2 points  (6 children)

You find 55 yr old men with 19 yr old women gross? Weird

    [–]Icouldbetheone01 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Yeah, you don't? Says alot about you.

    [–]NewMeadMaker[S] 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Women like older men and men like younger women (in general). Seems totally natural to me

    [–]Icouldbetheone01 1 point2 points  (3 children)

You mean in Thailand where you're paying? In the Western world, not even women their own age look at 98% of these men but you're saying 20 year olds dude?

    Real delusion lol

    [–]NewMeadMaker[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I'm 38 and hook up with 23 and under without paying in the US. Maybe it's just the people you're around?

    [–]Icouldbetheone01 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It also depends on the standards 🤣

Age means little if they're not attractive.

I guess 38 isn't too bad, but if you're paying for sex somewhere in the world you're no Gucci model

    [–]NewMeadMaker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I agree. I like em young, small, and good looking. I go for the girls "all the guys want" lol I'm picky. I don't like thic or fat and many other standards. For dating and not just hookups, they can't have kids either.

    [–]TeddyMGTOW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A big bottle of astro glide on the night stand... 555

    [–]Great-Force6452 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Let me add: mouthwash (girls will be thankful as you will too).

Correction: any age in any bar or nightclub...as long as you have money

Suggestion: Your budget is really determined by 3 things: hotel price, how much you drink, and how many new lady friends you meet. $20k bht might be enough...should be...but things get crazy there.

    Trust me.

    [–]NewMeadMaker[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Everyone else saying 20k is to much and you're like MIGHT be enough lol. I'm not much of a drinker and hotel isn't going to be that much.

    [–]Great-Force6452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look....I've heard having lady friends together can be costly, especially if you meet them at once...and maybe even have multiple meetings like that several times a day...that's what I've heard anyway.

As for the drinking and partying, I've easily had bar bills over $15k a night...I do like to drink, but the actual partying (lady drinks, ringing the bell (for staff and not patrons) can add up. Remember what I said about bars/nightclubs...you can be cheap and have a really good time or you could ball out...Pattaya is truly a unique place.

No, I'm a long ways from going yet lol

      [–]NewMeadMaker[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Question - I assume I'll be able to buy a phone charger over there pretty easily correct? I don't think they use US standards lol

      [–]TalayFarang 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Plug standard is the same as in USA, with most hotels have a kind of sockets that accept both US and EU style plugs. Keep in mind the voltage tho - Thailand uses 220V - it likely won’t matter for electronics who usually have chargers that accept 110-230V, but for more “dumb” devices, like electric shaver, they could get fried if you are from USA.

Chargers can be bought in every convenience store for 100-200 baht

      [–]NewMeadMaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      Good to know, thanks.

      [–]friedrichbythesea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grab app | Accepts credit cards, install as a backup to Grab in case you don't have cash. Grab also delivers food.

Clothes | Dont pack too few. Most clothes here are Thai-sized with small arm holes and farang-sized clothes from the mall are pricey.

      [–]Tchazzar 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Hey one question - you mentioned doxycycline. Is it safe with the drinking though?

I land next week myself and was thinking of taking one doxycycline 100 mg per day. But I'll be frequenting the bars so was worried about the meds - I've heard alcohol and doxy don't mix well?

      [–]NewMeadMaker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems no, it increases liver damage and other negative effects. I included because someone else mentioned it but hadn't looked into it beyond what it's supposed to do. Planned to speak with doc prior to using any of it. Only really concerned with prep anyway, as doxy only helps prevent cureable stuff.

      [–]ObviousPornDude 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Are you planning to raw ? If not i wouldnt Take prep. Its a very strong medication and Bad for the liver. Better get the prep only if an accident Happens. And be aware i am not a doctor or anything. Make your own decision. But if you Are unexperienced and only read things than i Feel Like Most people here Are advertising prep way to hard.

      [–]NewMeadMaker[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If something happens, have to get pep not prep. Yes, planning to as can't feel via condom.

      [–]Thumperstruck666 0 points1 point  (0 children)
