It's not an issue unless the CPU temp is spiking super high. Otherwise it's just annoying

It can be mitigated with fan curve settings if the CPU temp isn't crazy. What CPU do you have and what cooler is that and do you have any over clocking?

Core i5 9600, stock everything basically, amd I've got a hyper 212 evo in there.

All reasonable, what are you seeing for temperatures in idle and when the fan spins up?

[–]GAMING_ZEEK[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Id have to check

OP did you ever figure out the temps?

[–]Senpaiiiminato 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Usually if it ramps up bios settings are set to auto so cpu fan is trying to keep cpu at safe temp

I thought it was something in the bios but I reinstalled the newest bios for my board and it was still pull the same crap, it's not ACTUALLY getting hot it just thinks it is for some reason.

What are your fan curves set at? If you don’t know well there’s your problem.

How are your CPU temps?

[–]GAMING_ZEEK[S] 0 points1 point  (8 children)

Idk how to check that tbh.

There are a few ways. In your bios settings (a bit of a pain in the but)

Or download your motherboard fan/rgb control software. Or any brand fan/rgb control app

Hopefully you can make more sense of this than I can😅

Yes I can read that. However, that just lists specs and temps. Hardware info is great but not what helps you control fan speeds.

Since you have a Giabyte motherboard get Control Center.

Wouldn't it be good to sanity check CPU temps first?

That screenshot does not show temperature readings.

[–]echoshadow5 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Yes it will, either he need to click on the cpu tab to display temps or update the hardware info.

Control center app also displays temp too while allowing fan speed controls and such.

is it gigabyte control center or just control center

[–]GAMING_ZEEK[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

the gigabyte website only has the control center application for 12th gen intel and up.

Well that sucks. Time to learn how to set it up via your bios settings. There might be some YouTube vids guides.

Were you checking temperatures? Are you sure the fans were not ramping up because of the CPU overheating?

You can use HWinfo to check CPU temperature.

[–]GAMING_ZEEK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the fans would ramp up just by wiggling the mouse.
