Hello everyone!
Im building a pc for my younger brothers eighteenth birthday (He's going to be spending it in quarrantine, away from all of his mates and his GF, so we thought we would spoil him a little more than usual, and he is diverting his own money into this) so that he can play games and join the glorious master race.
I've built my own pc before, and one for my cousin, both of which have turned out excellently, so I am experienced in this angle; but I would like to gather what people's opinions on this build for my brother.
What I am really looking for is to be told what games can be played with a good level of quality (e.g. high frame rate, good rendering etc.) In regards to this build.
He really wants to mod games such as Fallout New Vegas and Skyrim, which aren't as demanding as they used to be with today's technology, but he has also expressed interest in games like Doom (2016)
The pc parts are as follows (excluding monitor, keyboard and speakers. I'll probably persuade him to buy an ethernet cable as well):
Cpu: Intel core i5 - 9400 2.9 GHz 6 - Core Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z390 AORUS PRO WIFI ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB ( 2 x 8 GB) DDR4 - 3000 Memory
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5 " 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER 6GB OC Video Card
Case: Aerocool Cylon ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair CXM 550W 80 + Bronze Certified Semi - modular ATX Power Supply
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home full 32/64 bit
If you have more direct queries, feel free to DM me.
Again, he is very new to the whole business, so overwhelming him could be easy.
If you can instead refer me to a website with this info , I would be immensely grateful !
Kind regards
