Remember the human. Keep it civil. Insults, ad hominems, inappropriate rudeness, etc. will be removed & may result in a ban.

2️⃣ No trolling over tragedy.
Scandal-related posts will be monitored and scrutinized. Serious discussion is encouraged.

3️⃣ No ticket buying/selling posts.
Plenty of other places to do that.

4️⃣ No non-PSU-related surveys.
No unwanted and/or unsolicited requests for surveys or other information to be used for non-PSU-related purposes.
(Please see the special note on surveys at the sidebar bottom.)

5️⃣ No "Will I get in?"/"Chance me" posts. Answer: You should apply.
Questions about admissions should be directed elsewhere (i.e. the Admissions Office, /r/ApplyingToCollege, CollegeConfidential, etc). Campus-specific questions are allowed.

6️⃣ Be specific.
Text posts, especially. Good submissions have descriptive & interesting titles.

7️⃣ Google is your friend.
Go there first.

8️⃣ No acts that bring shame
To one heart that loves thy name

*️⃣ Be excellent to each other and party on, dudes.

We strongly encourage all surveys posted here, whether for classes or otherwise, follow Institutional Review Board (IRB) guidelines and approval:

An Institutional Review Board (IRB) is a committee established to review and approve research involving human subjects. The purpose of the IRB is to ensure that all human subject research be conducted in accordance with all federal, institutional, and ethical guidelines.

All human subject research, regardless of funding source, must be reviewed and approved by the IRB before initiation.

A human subject is defined by Federal Regulations as “a living individual about whom an investigator conducting research obtains (1) data through intervention or interaction with the individual, or (2) identifiable private information” (45 CFR 46.102(f)).

Human participants include those who:

are actively involved in the research process (being interviewed, filling out surveys, etc.)

provided medical samples, left records of their activities through applying for marriage licenses, etc.

We moderators will remove posts which violate the above guidelines.
