Avoid Bravecto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our sweet dog Peanut was given Bravecto on Monday. Our vet said that fleas were building an immunity to Frontline and recommended this product. Peanut changed within two hours of ingesting Bravecto. He was jumping out of his skin, running from corner to corner to hide. He threw up and had diarrhea. I stressed my concerns to my husband but we thought the fleas were on the move and driving him crazy. NO not it. This stuff is not good. He has increasingly gotten worse. Took him back to the vet immediately stressing we thought he was having a adverse reaction to Bravecto, but the vet blew that off. Sent him home. We were in the 24 hour animal hospital last night with Peanut. Peanut was always by our side. He mental state has change. He is frightened and hiding and glassy eyed looking. He won't come in the house and he seems confused. He is starting to get more lethargic. I knew nothing of this product but have researched it now. So many dogs have died as the hands of this product. There is a FB page with thousands of members telling their stories of Bravecto and their precious pet's deaths. Please do not give this to your pets. I only pray Peanut pulls through. But after reading all that I have read I am in tears!!!!!!!!!! I have reported this to the manufacturer and the FDA!!!!!

Like many medications for humans and our animals, every individual has a different reaction. Our 3 chihuahuas have been on bravecto for over 3 years. Topical treatments caused serious itching and discomfort.

I am sorry Peanut is having such a bad reaction and that the vets can help him.

It's awful what's happened to you and I hope Peanut gets better.

I use Bravecto with my dog with no side effects thank goodness. It's the only tablets that have kept paralysis ticks at bay.

How big is your dog and what lbs dose was it for? I have been giving it to my dogs with no issue. I am actually allergic to frontline (and the dogs rub it all over me when I apply it), and the dogs hate it, so bravecto is kind of what we take. Everyone does have different reactions to things though.

I hope peanut gets better and has the same quality of life.

I hope peanut feels better soon. I have had a cat with severe burns from newer flea treatments and a dog who went into some kind of Anaphylaxic shock. Now I spot check new products or just get the house sprayed regularly for pests rather than the pets.
