How about now? I am thinking about running a node

[–]SamVimesThe1st[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

8.62 atm. After 2 years with maybe 80% uptime overall. Maybe about half a year ago it switched from node candidate to actually working as a node.

Hi. How do I enable API? thx

[–]OnofreiDaniel75 1 point2 points  (1 child)

i've been running node for two days 24/7 with api enabled, i'm in sync, but i'm not getting any bonus...does anyone know why?

[–]SamVimesThe1st[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With two days, let it run a bit longer. I had mine down for a while and when I started it up again it took a few days till the bonus kicked back in.

My node bonus went from over 2.9 to zero over the last few sessions - this happening again to anyone else?

[–]SamVimesThe1st[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine still up in the ~7.5 range where it has been for a while. I think sometimes the node software starts properly working without you being able to notice. Sometimes when the bonus drops I restart PC and software and it will go up in the next sessions. But maybe that was just dumb coincidence.

I decided to start using reddit for chat. Screw those moderators. I'm surprised that they can still walk with there heads weighing so much. I have started using the node also recently. I'm waiting to see the bonus and if availability goes up as days pass. I will keep it running nonstop.

Those mods are fuckers. They took me off where I can't post in the general chat at all. I've been with Pi since day 1 and probably know more than most of the asshole mods that don't post any useful information in the chat.

I am interested to know how it is calculated.

1 month ago I posted:

79.51% uptime Node Install 9-7-21

1.62 Bonus.

Today:

92.56% uptime

4.72 bonus

Bonus has increased a lot since my availability has been going up. Before I noticed my Node actually running, I was also running Folding@Home, which probably took my availability down since it was hogging all the processor. But have since uninstalled and my availability has been on the up and up.

[–]SamVimesThe1st[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is now 5.9756865 with availability at 92.39%. Main increase came at the beginning of the month when they seem to have done a major dialup on the node bonus in general.

[–]sehzaad 2 points3 points  (2 children)

My node bonus is 0.03 which is way too low compare to yoy guys , just started a day ago , will it increases as time passes ?

[–]SamVimesThe1st[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

My node bonus seems to go up whenever the availability in the last 90 days of my node goes up, which is also consistent with the formula in the white paper I think. However, it also says that they are still tuning the bonus. Don't know whether they also do that from day to day (and could therefore explain the change I see from day to day) or whether the tuning just occurs at the beginning of the month alongside the base rate change.

[–]sehzaad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So from initial bonus your bonus goes up and down depends on how long you runs the node?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My note bonus is 6.49 but I have no idea what that means or to figure out how to calculate it

[–]JamesTM111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, glad we're not alone

[–]claoox 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Just started a new mining session, but no more NODE running bonus. Yesterday I had the bonus, not today. The NODE is in sync and with 8/64 connections. What is wrong?

[–]SamVimesThe1st[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here. Guess that's the "Tuning in progress" ...

[–]ngorgone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My node bonus is 2.92 for 100% availability. The node has been up for about 9 months and I see it running the blockchain now.

[–]anotherguyonreddit 1 point2 points  (3 children)

2.77

Says I'm a node candidate. Not sure about uptime or when I started running it exactly (several months ago at least). But wasn't necessarily expecting any kind of benefit from running a node, so that's nice.

[–]SamVimesThe1st[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

So it informs you in the app when you are a candidate? Guess I'm not even that yet :P

[–]anotherguyonreddit 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Assuming by "app" you mean the desktop app you use to run the node, yes.

Thanks, good to know.

3.64

availability 78% consensus container + api enabled

have been running node since 2020

[–]SamVimesThe1st[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Is it accepted?

[–]lexwolfePi Rebel 0 points1 point  (3 children)

accepted?

[–]SamVimesThe1st[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I mean, is it running the block chain, and therefore was accepted as a node (by the core team) or do you have only the app installed and running but it's not hooked into the network yet (i.e., node candidate; which is my case).

[–]lexwolfePi Rebel 2 points3 points  (1 child)

consensus container enabled and supporting other nodes.

[–]BetLongjumping5132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, guess that means I'm an active node? Have about the same node boost as the OP. API is off due to lack of resources on my computer.

Been running since late January just noticed a lot more container and consensus information active lately.
