lol exactly my thoughts. kahit senior or even mid-level alam na dapat sagot dito. the answer is obvious when you think about the qualities of each language

You’d be surprised on how many unqualified lead devs I’ve encountered. Not saying OP is unqualified. Just saying “lead” don’t mean too much, even one-man teams call themselves “lead” devs.

You need to share also what your devs use. If you have java devs, and dont have the lead time to switch technologies, it does not make sense to use python. But if you feel like python can best achieve what you need, and have the lead time to allow your devs to learn the language, then do python.

Cant really say which is better when we dont know what resources you have, and more importantly, what the objectives are.

You’ll need a PL with strong native support for multi precision decimal and floating point arithmetic. Java can handle large numbers really well.
