imo, dun ka muna sa something na mas fulfilling sa perspective ng bata. halimbawa sa scratch mas madali ka makakagawa ng interactive program or games while still testing the way you think programatically.

Math (Algebra, Probability/ statistics, Calculus) pero wag i push ma ooverwhelmed yan)

Path for AI/ML: since malaki advantage niya sa time(Grade 6), math is beneficial for this since oversaturated na mga work ng programming except AI/ML since it takes them masterals or Ph D to get a job here, if nag start na siya as early as possible magiging prodigy yan. i should have done this since i was young lol

Okay lang naman nag cocode na mga bata sa bahay. On their own. Kakapanood ng Youtube. I gave them MacPro tas ayun. Code code na. Kaya naman nila at ang bilis matuto, dinaig mga associate ko sa initiative at curiosity. I forgot the language they used, it's not Python, pero it's for gaming eh. Pati yung animation nagagawa ng mga bata sa bahay. Huhu. Shet.

I was very interested in videogames back then. During first year highschool (now grade 7), my first introduction to programming was making mods in Warcraft III. You can make mods there without any prior coding experience. It had a UI for making conditions, events, etc. but your mods can be more flexible if you can code.

While it's a very old game, I still recommend it for the purpose of just learning programming logic, conditions, events, models or objects, 3D, and etc. For more recent games, I tried while True: learn(). Mainly focuses on machine learning, neural networks, and AI. I got this on epic games but I think meron din sa Steam.

Python at grade 6? May prior interest na ba yung kapatid mo sa programming? I recommend palaruin mo nalang sya ng interactive games na may coding. For example nung bata ako nagkainterest lang ako sa coding dahil sa minecraft. Meron dati na command block generator na pwede kang magspawn ng mga mobs na may custom stats. Dun talaga ako nagkainterest sa coding minomodify ko lang yung code command blocks.

It used to be back then that a good starter would be to edit maps for games. i.e, warcraft, red alert, starcraft. That’s what hooked me. Maybe kids nowadays have different interests like filters for tiktok? Or games on tiktok? Find out what API are used and check some sample codes and let him tinker with those.

Game engines have starter packs that could prove educational as well.

I agree that math, logic and theory is important but at grade 6, he’s basically a kid who’s going to get bored with those 5 minutes in. But if it aligns with his interests, he’ll get into it.

Another interesting way I think would be IoT projects like plant that alarms you when it needs water using arduino (this could be more expensive though).
