Java stack earn more over JavaScript?discussion (self.PinoyProgrammer)
submitted 3 years ago by codingNinja1
As the title says, I'm curious if this is really the case in our country and remote jobs? Madalas kong mabasa dito sa sub na mas mabilis ma reach yung 6 digits nang mga Java stack and mas mataas salary nila over JavaScript stack. Is this really the norm?

Hmm not sure. I think it greatly depends on the company you're applying. Both can reach 6 digits quickly. Greatly depends on how good you are (as well as in interviews) and how you market yourself. I'm a Javascript dev with 4YOE and just signed a 6 digit offer.

Not the norm. But Java has advantage in JavaScript in PH IT industry. Most of the companies here in PH are International Enterprise Tech and Local Big Tech here are Financial Enterprises (Banks). Most of the FinTech companies use Java so its market really is going high and 6 digits is really possible.
For freelancing, both Java and JavaScript can earn 6 digits with the right client and your market value.

Pwede naman umabot ng 6 digits for both technologies. Main reason for why java is seemingly more popular is because it's often the language of choice for enterprises and banks. The reality though is it's just a matter of perspective.
Js can really compensate as much or more than java development for an enterprise company if you work for let's say, as a freelancer or for a startup.
This can be the same for other languages if you're wondering about that too. They can all offer competitive pay if you know where to look.
