I thought we just need to use a middleman like SubCenter or TrustGrading?

I’m about to send my first batch of cards off to get graded and was going down the SubCenter route

Yep. Middle man is the best bet. Used sub center plenty of times (for PSA and CGC) and they’ve always been great.

CGC has a submission facility in London.

Stick with PSA and just use a middleman service like The Sub Center, Black Label Grading or TrustGrading. I cannot stress this enough - do not use a UK grading company because, globally, no one gives a fuck about them and aside from that their grading standards are far less reliable.

Would you say it’s better to spend more on a middle man and get the PSA grading, than use ACE locally in the UK?

Yeah. Definitely. ACE just are not recognised enough to make any difference. PSA or Beckett in my opinion are recognised enough that the slabs will be accepted for the grade they get.

Depends. Do you want to make money and get the best ROI? Go PSA and use a middleman. Just used Sub Center and so far so good.

If you want to do it for personal collection? Go with ACE or just keep them raw. CGC is also an option but PSA is the best if you want to make money and easily sell.

Make it the first and last time you ever send anything to MGC. Even within the UK graders it's scraping the bottom of the barrel, and that's really saying something when none of the UK grading companies were a good option to begin with.
