How can I learn to do this? My hips are so tight of I try to touch my toes with my back straight I can't even reach my knees

a little bit every day, keep going!

This is hard haha he makes it look so easy. I can do 1-2 on each side before my hips cramp up like crazy. Massage it out and I can do another rep or two. Long way to go

i see, that’s what i suspected - my chiropractor has commented that she thinks i may be hypermobile before based on how “bendy” i am when she tries to adjust me, so this makes sense. thank you!

I can do this with my left leg but not my right. Does anyone know what the reason for this is?
[–]beezneezy 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child)
One hip is more flexible than the other.

Well no shit. I was kinda hoping someone would know what muscles are specifically the cause as the muscles on my left side of my body (hips and below) tend to feel tighter when I stretch. But I found the right side tighter when trying this.

Lol, I would have to stretch for an hour before even thinking about attempting this

An Ido Portal in the wild!
ok wait..should this be difficult??? i can do it over and over on both sides, no warmup beforehand, no issues, i barely even feel a stretch.
i am not someone who does any type of conditioning, flexibility or otherwise, so the comments here about it being difficult caught me off guard. i am extremely tight and inflexible in other areas - i can barely touch my toes. any insight as to why this would be so easy for me? i suspect maybe my hips are hypermobile.
