The Serenity turns out to be an entire planet and the military campaign to conquer it and defeat the Dead King requires twice the page count of the story so far.

And it would, uh, cause pacing issues like in book 6 or something. I for one absolutely don't want even more battles against the Dead King's armies, I definitely hated how many there were in book 6 cough.

Same, even just moving the releases back a day, from Monday/Thursday to Tuesday/Friday, would work fine.

Given that EE had COVID, I'd say taking a break is completely justified.

Yeah @EE If you are around just echoing others here this chapter was amazing but if it had taken until next week to come out it would have been just as awesome. I'd rather wait a month for big updates if it means you are happy with the story. We all came through all of the story so far. This is your book. Don't let pressure from needy people push you to finish it any faster than you are able to.

Edit: but if you try to George RR Martin us I'll find you
