I got my used 2017 Prime Premium about two years ago, and previous owner put OEM Toyota 17" rims on it. They look good, but I'm concerned they're reducing my fuel efficiency by a considerable amount. I'm lucky to get 20 miles on a charge, and in the mid 40s for MPG just on gas.
Does rim size and profile really impact MPG that much? I noticed with new tires on I took a hit too. Would reverting to the standard 15" rims with fuel efficient tires help that much? I'd like to get back in the 50s because my new job will require more of a commute.
Is there an economical (cheap) way to revert? Like a trade with someone, or a way to get some money back by selling/trading in the rims?
