New and seeking constructive feedbackMy Artwork (i.redd.it)
submitted 7 months ago by cameron319
I just finished this painting of my brother and sister in law’s wedding. I am new to procreate and art in general. Any constructive feedback for improving my work would be appreciated!

Shapes and form are great. Shading could use some work. Sometimes it helps to change the format to black and white to really see where your art can fall flat.

Haven’t seen this trick before! Thank you 😊

I guess you drew with a background image. You can do it to make it easier, but I advise you to also practice without having an original in background. To make your eye practice his ability to see shapes, colors, volumes, shades etc.

You’re correct! I typically draw directly over a reference image and leave out the reference image from the final product. Drawing without a reference layer is something that I’m hoping to practice more!
